Job Description
The main objective of the position is to ensure high quality data collection in Dirasa schools. The Information Management Assistant (IMA) will be responsible for collecting the relevant information from the IM focal points in the schools and ensure daily coordination on data collection and its accuracy. In addition, he or she will be supporting in data cleaning and data analysis for UNICEF. The IM assistant will be based in akkar office, with daily visits to respective schools under the Dirasa project.
Major Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the M&E officer, the IM assistant will:
- Conduct daily visits to the Education schools’ activities to provide continuous support and oversight on data management.
- Ensure regular attendance is entered on CLM daily.
- Follow up on schools’ IM focal points to ensure data validity and accuracy.
- Conduct CLM training and refresher when needed to IM focal points in schools.
- Provide school Focal Points (FPs) with a weekly extraction for the attendance to follow up on the attendance, absence, dropouts etc.
- Ensure referrals are filled in the platform and follow up with school FPs on their statuses.
- Ensure Observation tools provided by World Learning (WL) performed by the classroom observers or School FPs are conducted on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and upon need.
- Ensure Club initiatives, meetings with parents, health/doctor visits to the school and all the related info are filled in the CLM accurately.
- Data entry related to students’ attendance, referrals and parents meeting information.
- Supervise the data flow between multiple stakeholders involved in the UNICEF project.
- Supervise the data entry and collection process along education activities.
- Conduct data reporting and analysis for donors and focal points across multiple education activities.
- Conduct data migration of recorded education activities onto different information management platforms.
- Perform Data Quality Assessments for education activities through engaging partners and stakeholders.
- Assist the IRC’s partner organizations and field teams in verifying the accuracy of data collected at all stages of the program – in particular at the beneficiary identification phase, the efficiency and accountability of the implementation and the results of the intervention.
- Provide input and feedback to improve programmatic implementation or M&E activities.
- Identify and implement improvements to information management process.
- Ensure data confidentiality and protection according to any restrictions identified by the program.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Social Sciences, education or another relevant field.
- Between 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in managing quantitative and qualitative data for M&E.
- Between 1 to 2 years of relevant working in NGO experience.
- Knowledge of Education Activities by international actors in Lebanon, with an emphasis on schools
- Strong experience in Microsoft office and advanced excel.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting quality checks during quantitative and qualitative data collection.
- Demonstrated experience and capacity in conducting field-level quantitative and qualitative data collection and data entry using paper and electronic tools.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in quantitative and qualitative data cleaning and preliminary analysis.
- Strong ability to work independently, organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility, ability to coordinate and build consensus.
- Personal qualities: works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, detail oriented, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
- Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English required.
Preferred:
- Certification or specific training in Statistics, Information Management and/or Data Management.
- Previous experience within a position that required a focus on information management.
- NGO experience and preferably in education field.
Travel and other requirements: Staff will be based in Akkar , with some travel required between the field office and the main IRC office in Beirut.
