The Health Officer for capacity building and integration will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of trainings related to the health sector. S/he will act as focal point for the integration of health across other sectors such as education, protection, and livelihoods.  As the Cholera outbreak is now rapidly spreading in Lebanon, this will be one of the main priorities in terms of capacity building and integrated multi-sectoral response

Major Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the analysis and evaluation of capacity building needs, and develop accordingly a capacity building plan.
• Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of activities for continuous identification of and response to capacity development needs.
• Deliver trainings to the IRC staff, frontliners, partners and community stakeholders, based on the program’s strategy, current grants, and any outbreak or other public health priorities in emergencies.
• Ensure that all training materials are aligned with the national guidelines and recommendations (WHO, MoPH).
• Ensure proper documentation of all trainings and capacity building sessions.
• Ensure that all necessary requirements to ensure a successful training session are prepared in a timely manner including material, equipment, venue and transportation in coordination with the Supply chain team.
• Conduct regular coaching and mentoring sessions.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to the partners activities sites and share documented feedback.
• Coordinate with different sectors to assess training needs related to health, and ensure that trainings are implemented smoothly and in timely manner.
• Coordinate with different sectors to explore integrated activities, and develop accordingly action plans.
• Contribute to the proposals writing and budgeting for capacity building plans, and health integrated programs.
• In coordination with M&E Department, develop tools to assess the impact of the capacity building and integrated activities with other sectors.

Key Working Relationships:

• Position Reports to: Health manager
• Internal Contacts: Country Program:  Health Program team, M&E, Education team, Protection team, and Livelihoods team.
• External: IRC health Partners, other health actors

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in health-related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of primary healthcare, sexual and reproductive health, mother and childcare, non-communicable diseases, communicable diseases.
• Experience of minimum two years in mentoring and training.
