Position summary
This position requires a highly motivated and competent individual committed to succeeding in delivering the tasks of the project. The role is focused on monitoring and supervising the day-to-day field operations of the project implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the cash for work activities in a way that ensures consistency between the field implementation, technical guidelines and other project commitments.
- Provide technical expertise such as drawings, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) specifications for CFW projects.
- Ensure that the construction CFW activities are carried out according to the plans, designs and drawings and ensure accuracy of the qualities and quantities.
- Check project specifications, data management, spreadsheets and databases, maps, drawings and other supporting documents (legal clearances and/or permits) when needed.
- Monitor projects construction’s related activities and ensure its delivery in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain healthy relationships with local actors covered in the project (municipality, Host communities, Refugees…)
- Manage the logistics of all outreach related activities and venues.
- Work closely with the rest of RMF team, protection and the MEAL to support coordination between various project activities.
- Daily follow up of projects activities on the field, track the progress of activities and provide timely feedbacks.
- Provide weekly work plans and monthly progress report.
- Ensure that beneficiaries data and attendance are accurately collected and entered.
- Ensure strong engagement and communication with participants and ensure that inquiries are answered in a timely manner.
- Ensure the ability to implement flexible tasks.
- Closely collaborate with the project coordinator and admin officer to report cases and referrals.
- Participate at the task force groups and coordination meeting as needed.
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of experience in engineering and infrastructure works.
- Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate diploma in the following: Civil preferable.
- Previous experience in design, planning, implementation and quality assurance.
- High Skills in working on essential construction (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical) projects, including relevant software.
- Ability to review and write reports.
- Ability to manage data effectively.
- Ability to cope and work under pressure.
- Good coordination skills and proven experience in working with external stakeholders, i.e municipalities, SDCs, local communities and refuges…
- Familiarity with local NGOs programs.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate to large audiences.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively in person, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
- Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and able to problem solve and engage others as needed.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office software (AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Be flexible with working hours schedule when needed.
