The MEAL Officer manages information and reporting processes to ensure professional and high-quality communication. The MEAL Officer will play an important role in improving information management and data quality, monitoring project implementation, and ensuring that lessons learnt are gathered and disseminated to all project stakeholders as relevant.
The MEAL Officer will play a main role in the project titled: Promoting Good Governance through Arts, Media, and Development (ArMeD) funded by IFA – ZIVIK Funding Program which targets three main key actors: staff and activists from NGOs, refugee youth, and Lebanese/ host community youth. The project activities will engage refugees, and Lebanese host communities and include capacity development interventions; media, films, and theater interventions; and community initiatives in partnerships with local municipalities all aimed at promoting good governance and civic participation. ArMeD is founded on a theory of change that works with youth who are the future generation and NGO staff who themselves also work with and influence children and youth, promotes active citizenship, community engagement, and accountability which are bound to positively influence good governance and transitional justice.
Activity Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, and implement ArMeD activities following ARCPA’s procedures and the set methodologies.
- Work closely with coordinators and officers and partner Centers to ensure quality implementation of the ArMeD activities.
- Collaborate with the project team and facilitate data collection and validation through different tools (database, focus group discussion, surveys, and others).
- Support youth to develop their capacities in the Municipalities.
- Conduct relevant research and provide technical expertise to support the program.
Administration
- Support the centers’ development in terms of activities.
- Handle and follow up on all administrative work related to work in Tripoli/Beirut including the development of action plans, reporting (monthly and quarterly), and expenditure management
- Facilitate the implementation of project-related training workshops for staff and volunteers
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of activities in the project’s implementation.
- Provide lessons learned from the field and suggest improvements regarding the activities’ implementation
- Participate in project meetings/working groups at the field level and provide regular feedback
- Support correspondence with partners, in cooperation with the Programmes Coordinator
- Represent ARCPA in related events
- Perform other job-related tasks as requested by supervisor
Technical
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, social science or equivalent degree
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in projects coordination and field monitoring
Knowledge in entrepreneurship and employability skills such as business plans, SWOT analysis, interview skills and others.

Team player with the ability to deliver information to different age groups
Excellent reporting skills
Able to work under pressure

WORKING CONDITIONS
The incumbent is required to work 6 days a week
Working hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the winter season and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer season
