We are seeking a ‘Digital Reporter' – for a remote part-time job and a period of 6 months – who has a passion for writing impeccable copy, connecting with humans, and capturing inspiring stories worthy of being communicated and highlighted.

Our ideal candidate is a young-spirited, skilled, and imaginative writer who can flex their writing and storytelling skills to create inspiring content. Your words will inspire other youths, engage target audiences, and offer informative content.

This assignment will be for 6 months starting December 2022.

   JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Prepare written content and create communication material such as newsletters, annual reports, blogs, and webpages.
• Capture stories (testimonials, success stories, or human interest stories) from the youth participating in our programs to be shared on social media, in the donor's reports, or on the website.
• Interview youth, record and edit video content for social media
• Create briefs and descriptions of new projects.
• Help manage social media posting and create captions for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Tiktok.
• Write or proofread reports.
• Attend online or in-person events, when needed, to meet with the participants and capture the required material.

Other Tasks

• Report to the Marketing & Communications Manager.
• Assist in all required tasks within the Communications Department.
• Work closely with the Programs Department
• Brainstorm innovative content ideas and platform hacks that capture attention and increase engagement and following.

 REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, mass media or a related field.
• EXCELLENT written communication skills in English with good Arabic.
• Proven working experience as a Copywriter & Reporter
• Ability to gather, write and edit news
• Passion for storytelling & social interaction
• Dedication to having conversations that go deeper than surface level
• Computer and digital proficiency (MSoffice, digital editing, video and photos applications, etc.)
• Knowledgne in Adobe Creative Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience in Social Media platforms and online trends.
• Background and knowledge in the Entrepreneurship and non-profit world is a big plus.
