The Rene Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking a “field coordinator” for the project “Improving the social and economic resilience of vulnerable host and refugee communities in Lebanon” funded by BMZ and implemented by WHH in partnership with RMF.

The project goal is to improve the resilience of the host community and the refugee community in rural Lebanon and their abilities to cope with the economic crisis.

The project outcomes are:

1. to provide access to the value chain actors to improve their cooperation opportunities at vertical and horizontal levels and have better access to local and regional markets.

2.  to improve the knowledge and skills of Local actors while increasing their competitiveness along the value chain

3. to improve the cooperation/social cohesion by strengthening the partnerships between communities with different ethnic backgrounds.

Position Summary

The field coordinator will be responsible of the day-to-day field operations of RMF -WHH project, which will be implemented in the North Lebanon and Akkar.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Facilitate and take part of the implementation of project activities in targeted areas.
• Summarize, evaluate and update on a regular basis the activities in accordance with the established planning schedules.
• Coordinate and maintain regular contact with Municipalities and local stakeholder including (farmers, coops, community leaders, local government officials, MSMEs…)
• Liaise with other organizations, if needed.
• Determine any changes to the plan and report to the project director.
• Contribute to the monthly activities report.
• Assisting in collecting all needed data
• Identify and report success stories.
• Prepare weekly reports
• Leading execution of activities/ meetings/ orientation sessions/ site visits etc. at targeted municipalities/communities;
• Follow up with RMF consultants for the activities’ implementation
• Ensure project documents are complete, and stored appropriately
• Implement other tasks as directed by the project director

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to write clear and concise reports.
• Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic; French is a plus

• Possesses organizational skills/ Energetic and tenacious

Qualification

• The field coordinator should be holder of a Bachelor degree in Agriculture or any other relevant field with at least 4 years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience in relevant field.
• He/She should have assumed prior similar responsibilities with donor-funded projects.
• He/She should have a driving license
