Main Purpose of the Role:
The Communications Officer will support the Communications Department with the planning, organization and implementation of all communication activities for TDH, with the primary task of supporting the production of communication material (design) and support on social media management.
Objective 1: Support in the production of communication materials (printed and digital) such as:
- Infographics, brochures and leaflets about TDH activities and projects;
- Multi-media material, including but not limited to Corporate Website, Social Media content, design and branding for projects and external communication materials (i.e. presentations, project fact-sheets, project brochures/leaflets, and photo books).
- External communication content such as media announcements, newsletters, press releases and speeches
Objective 2: Under the supervision of the Communication Manager, support on management of TDH social media platforms.
Objective 3: Under the supervision of the Communication Manager, liaise with procurement department and service providers to support the production of communication material.
Objective 4: Support in organizing communication visits and online/ offline events.
Objective 5: Provide general support to communication department on any other relevant tasks to achieve the organization’s communication objectives.
Diplomas and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, branding, art direction, journalism, advertising, or communication.
- At least 2 to 3 years relevant work experiences.
- Good experience in the following: Preparation and follow-up on short videos, Photography; Events planning; and collecting stories.
- Very strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic, including drafting press releases, success stories, social media posts, creating infographics, etc.
- Good knowledge in creating content and managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube).
- Mature, responsible, positive, respectful attitude, and collaborative approach to problem solving and while working in the community and within a team.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as part of a team;
- Experience in following up on print production and digital video productions.
- Detailed oriented; with the ability to follow up on procedures to meet deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to do regularly field visits to different locations in Lebanon.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of Graphic Design Tools (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Good knowledge of the INGO sector
- Good Photography and videography skills
- Basic videography skills
