JOB SUMMARY
The Storekeeper is responsible for the proper handling and storage of goods in the warehouse in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
OBJECTIVES AND TASKS
Storage of goods and warehouse activities (20%)
- Ensures proper storage of goods and their adequate protection from heat, water, fire, dirt and vermin.
- Ensures that no goods are stored directly on the ground.
- Ensures good access to the commodities is maintained.
- Reports all goods with short remaining shelf life.
- Keeps transparent filing system for warehouse documents.
- Participate in regular and ad-hoc inventories.
- Ensures that all the stored goods are properly labelled (expiry dates, batch numbers, manufacturer, etc.) and recorded.
Reception and Inspection of incoming goods (30%)
- Organizes safe and clean offloading of arriving consignments and checks that all consignments are accompanied by necessary documents.
- Performs a complete physical count of incoming consignment and immediately reports to the direct superior any discrepancies between the physical count and the quantity mentioned in cargo accompanying documents.
- Performs quality control of arriving goods with regard to packing integrity, labelling, expiry dates and physical appearance of the goods.
- Put-away of goods into stock (separately according to batch number, expiry date and purchase order reference (number) together with the respective bin card.
- Issues and/or updates Bin Cards after each reception.
Order picking and packing (40%)
- Pick and packing consignments according to picking tickets (or equivalent)
- Immediately record the picked items in the respective bin card
- Record any discrepancies between the batches stated in the picking ticket and actually picked batches
- Report any discrepancies for follow-up and correcting all related document
- Immediately report any stock out if noticed during picking.
- Pack cold chain items in appropriate cold boxes with sufficient ice packs according to the equipment instructions
- Provide protective packing for breakable items
- Return the picking ticket (or equivalent) with corrections as well as the parcel number of each item, total number of parcels and total weight for issuing packing list.
- Ensure that all consignments are packed appropriately and weighted
- Mark parcels with consignee, destination, order number and parcel number
- Marking parcels with transport instructions or warnings (breakable, dangerous goods etc.) if applicable.
- Ensure that all packed consignments are accompanied by an accurate and complete packing lists and issuing of a waybill upon loading if needed.
Loading and dispatch of goods (5%)
- Organizes loading of consignments according to instructions from the direct superior.
Control Warehouse facilities (5%)
- Reports any damages or need for repairs to the direct superior.
- Maintains tidiness and cleanliness of the warehouses
- Keeps the facility's equipment and materials neat, clean and orderly and reports any issues.
- Ensures the proper disposal of waste materials that could be reused (carton boxes).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
Years of experience required: Minimum 1 year experience in storekeeping.
Level of education: Secondary school diploma / Certificate in Warehousing is an asset.
Field of education: Warehousing.
Languages: good command of English.
Computer Literacy: an asset.

JOB DETAILS
Job Location: Beirut , Lebanon
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:30 – Activity rate 100%
Contract Type: Fixed term, 1 year (renewable based on performance and need for position)
