Position: Administrator /Accountant
Contract type: International contract with Istituto Oikos Italy (Collaboration or consultancy)
Remuneration: it will be in Euro or USD, to be defined according to work experience and qualifications
Duration: 1 year
Starting date: march 2023
Duty station: Beirut, with regular work visits to the offices of Oikos' partners in Lebanon (Shouf and Jabal Moussa mainly)
Tasks:
Ensure proper administration and accounting of Istituto Oikos (IO) in Lebanon, respecting IO's policies and donor procedures.
Support Istituto Oikos' Project Managers and Partners administrators in overseeing and coordinating the administration and financial reporting of Istituto Oikos' projects in Lebanon
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the relations with the administrative/finance staff of the partners/co applicant for the collection of all the documentation necessary for finalizing the financial reports and for the correct use of the financial tool file (Prima Nota).
- With the support of the Project managers and in strict collaboration with partners, prepare monthly financial progress reports on the projects and transmit quarterly progressive project reports to the headquarters in Italy, according to the management rules established by the donors and the directives received from the Italian HQs.
- Support Project Managers and Partners in the procurement activities, aligned with Donors and Oikos procedures.
- Support logistics when necessary
Qualifications:
- Education in economics, finance, accounting, administration or equivalent;
- At least three years' work experience in a similar field in Lebanon;
- Knowledge of the reporting procedures of major international development agencies (UN, EU, AICS);
- Knowledge of procurement procedures required by major institutional donors;
- Attention to detail, ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines;
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of MS office applications (Excel);
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork;
- Fluent in Arabic and English (oral and written).;
- Good level of organisational autonomy and resource management skills.
