Animated Storytelling – A Training Program for Creatives in Lebanon

This program aims to provide participants with the space, mentorship, and technical know-how needed in order to create their own animated productions and increase their chances of securing jobs in the field.

The goal is to establish a local community of animation artists with the skills to create and produce animated films, videos, cartoons, and others.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in partnership with Happinest implement this project as part of the Global Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI).

Tasks and responsibilities:

1. Capture high resolution images of Happinest activities with a focus on participants, instructors, guest speakers, and the facility.
2. Obtain consent from individuals featured in photographs and videos using the consent form
3. Compile, edit and deliver all photographs and videos to the program coordinator (Happinest retains exclusive copyright to all media material).
4. Consult with program coordinator on scheduling and deliverables

Required qualifications, experience, and skills:

• BA in photography, videography, or any related field
• 3 to 4 years of experience in photography, preferably related to cultural and artistic activities
• Experience in the humanitarian field is a plus
• Required Portfolio of work
• Fluent in English and Arabic. French is a plus.
• Ability to be creative and take initiative
• Proven ability to work efficiently within a team
• Organized in archiving and able to set a work schedule
• Proficient in: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Light room, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, Adobe Aftereffects, MS Suite
