Job Summary
The Soft Skills Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering training programs to participants. He/she may work with a wide range of individuals, from Highschool graduates to University dropouts. His/her goal is to ensure that everyone participating has the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their internships, and in their future careers.
The Soft Skills Trainer may often use a variety of different teaching methods to deliver the content. This might include classroom lectures, hands-on exercises, videos, or other visual aids.
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing training programs that are aligned with the projects’ objectives,
- including design and development of curriculum, materials, and assessments.
- Presenting 16 workshops that are engaging and interactive to help participants retain information.
- Conducting needs assessments to understand what the beneficiaries already know and what they need to learn next.
- Measuring the effectiveness of the workshop programs by conducting evaluations with participants and MEAL Officer after a session has been completed.
- Coordinating with other members of the organization’s training department to develop and deliver holistic workshops.
- Creating resources to support learning objectives such as handouts, workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, or videos.
- Leading group discussions and providing guidance on effective communication skills to increase productivity and efficiency within a team or organization.
- Creating soft skills workshops among the given topics; trainer has the right to adjust, amend or change topics upon approval. Topics include: CV Writing, Job Applications, Interview Preparation, Professional Communication, Entrepreneurship, Workplace Rights, and Financial Literacy.
- Taking attendance and following up on absences.
- Preparing monthly reports on the progress of the participants, challenges, changes and implementation progress to the project manager.
- Tracking sessions’ progress.
- Unforeseen tasks may apply.
