Position Summary

The Cleantech Trainer will work closely with the Entrepreneurship Officer in coordination with the Programs Manager. The Cleantech Trainer will be reporting to the Entrepreneurship Officer.

Responsibilities

Training Delivery

  • Attend the INJAZ Lebanon Training of Trainers’ workshop
  • Deliver workshops for the startups to help them ideate, validate their idea, validate their market develop their model business canva,  pitch, and other Entrepreneurship topics
  • Support closely the startups in developing their project’s idea, business plan, budgets, and prototypes
  • Communicate sessions’ progress to line manager and maintain participants’ attendance records
  • Submit the weekly report on progress to line manager
  • Conduct market research and need assessment surveys
  • Attend and participate in the pitching for the teams
  • Deliver one on one clinics with the Startups and submit a feedback for each startup.
  • Direct and organize various workshops/events/webinars for the program,
  • Prepare all required reports and maintain a comprehensive set of records on all related activities.

 

Coaching

  • Review Stratups’ business model to ensure financial viability and sustainability.
  • Provide weekly incubation support to startups to further develop their idea and run their project
  • Incubation support will be given based on a specific methodology that covers: idea validation and refinement, customer development, customer relationships, project value proposition and qualities, cost assessment, and revenue model
  • Request the release of seed funding to teams in several installments against specific deliverables
  • Communicate sessions’ progress to the line manager and maintain participants’ attendance records
  • Communicate seed funding disbursement progress to the line manager and maintain a copy of teams’ financial records.

Program implementation and quality

  • Support in program events and workshops
  • Coordinate with initiative participants & ensure a timely progress of their operation
  • Gather testimonials from beneficiaries
  • Ensure availability of all needed program materials through the sessions and coordinates with the Entrepreneurship Officer on printing requirements

Others:

  • Attend requested meetings
  • Undertake other related duties, as assigned or requested by the Entrepreneurship Officer

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Technology, Business Administration, Social Science, Developmental Studies, Public Administration or another relevant field
  • Min. of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in CleanTech work, business development, entrepreneurship, education, business or social sector including management experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Agriculture and its latest technologies
  • Sincere interest in the mission of INJAZ Lebanon and in entrepreneurship
  • Knowledgeable of the ecosystem (Education, NGOs, Community centers)
  • Strong relationship-building and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Highly organized and motivated, ability to multitask in a timely manner, team player
  • Solid communication skills and participatory training skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is a must.
  • Experience in running a startup is a plus.
  • Motorized (Have a car) – Essential
