Job Summary
The Gardener will provide detailed training on how to plant and use fertilizers to participants registered in Caritas Lebanon centers located in Mount Lebanon and Beirut
Tasks and responsibilities
- Install and maintain seasonal plants.
- Trim and fertilize green spaces.
- Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery, like mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Monitor and maintain the health of plants.
- Deal with pest problems that could damage plants.
- Keep gardens and green spaces clear of debris and litter.
- Provide guidance to management on matters related to the garden.
- Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as plant vehicles.
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by sticking to safety and health regulations.

- Guide the women in their daily activity in the garden and during the training
Experience required
- At least 4 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Minimum understanding of human rights, particularly the rights of refugees, migrant workers, and gender-based violence
- Be a resident of Lebanon, with the ability to work inside Lebanon.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience as a Gardener.
- Previous experience with women Gardeners
- Familiarity with landscaping design.
- Extensive knowledge of regional plant life.
- Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers.
- The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to work well both as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
- The ability to lift heavy objects.
