Assignment Context: The UN Volunteer is responsible for ensuring that all works are in line with the specifications, safety rules and regulations of the work place, and maintaining reports in case of defective work or deviation from safety standards.
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the National UN Youth Volunteer is responsible to perform the below functions:
•Assist the project management’s team in monitoring the renovation works and following up with contractors.
• Escort the contractors and the workers inside the building.
• Escort pick-ups and trucks to the basements and to the exit of the UN house.
• Liaise daily on-site activities of the contractors and workers
•Assist the team with needed site surveying, field inspections and quality control.
• Ensure the implementation of safety rules and regulations, avoiding fire hazards and incidents.
• Allow for the smooth flow of work and proper coordination among contractors and constant reporting to the project management team lead.
• Support the requests from the project management team and perform other duties as assigned.
