The Daily Worker will support the Livelihood Counselling Officers in carrying the counselling component’s activities through providing administrative support and supporting with day-to-day tasks, mainly outreach, session scheduling, and logistics of counselling sessions. S/he will also support the team in coordinating with the MEL Officers on data collection and maintenance of the database.
Responsibilities:
Project Implementation
• Support the Livelihood Counselling Officers in the day-to-day tasks and tasks related to sessions’ preparation
• Support the data collection and maintenance of databases
• Follow-up regularly with participants regarding the counselling sessions
• Support in updating all the data and information on the relevant databases
• Support in mapping of services for referral system and referring applicants to other NGOs or/and service providers
• Provide day-to-day support to the Livelihood Counselling Officers including administrative, financial, and logistical support
• Assist in filing and record keeping of project activities
Other
• Ensure all activities are gender sensitive and follow Mercy Corps’ Gender Equity Policy;
• Apply Do No Harm standards to ensure activities do not have detrimental effects on vulnerable communities
• Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission in Lebanon
• Participate in internal office coordination, planning meetings, and workshops

Accountability Reports Directly To: Livelihood Counselling Officer Works Directly With: LINKED Program team, MC Support Departments (MEL, HR, Finance, Operations), other employment programming within Mercy Corps Lebanon
Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work. We are committed to actively engaging communities as equal partners in the design, monitoring and evaluation of our field projects.
Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills
● BA/S or equivalent in social science, education, sociology, psychology, or other relevant field;
● At least one year of experience and proven high level of competence in working in projects involving training and capacity building components; ● Strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently and take initiative under pressure in a rapidly changing, multi-cultural context, whilst adhering to strict deadline;
● Excellent communication skills;
● Excellent written and verbal English and Arabic skills;
● Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel;
● A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action as to not delay program activities;
● Demonstrated ability in team work;
● Ability and willingness to travel to the field as needed to support trainings and filed based activities;
● General understanding of basic livelihood concepts.
