JOB SUMMARY: The social worker is responsible for preparing and conducting PSS activities, and overseeing the awareness raising activities and the work of the outreach volunteers.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Promote and introduce the International Medical Corps (IMC) integrated approach to GBV services to institutions, centers, PHCs and individuals.
• Plan and conduct psycho-social support sessions to beneficiaries at the WGSSs, the primary health care centers, the community centers and outreach field level.
• Identify opportunities for awareness raising, whether at a community center or other safe space.
• Organize focus group discussions on relevant information when needed.
• Conduct safety audits at the community level
• Engage men and boys within the GBV-IMC Program and promote Gender Equality.
• Contribute and regularly update service mapping of service providers within the area of intervention to ensure that GBV caseworkers are informed of all relevant and available services.
• Ensure safe identification and referral for beneficiaries including GBV survivors to the GBV case managers.
• Attend IMC and other requested trainings and meeting when available or requested in coordination with GBV Program Officer and/or Program Manager.
• Prepare and submit reports and documentation for activities in timely manner and report directly to GBV-Officer.
• Plan, monitor, and follow up the work of outreach volunteers on field.
• Conduct any other programmatic activity as requested by the GBV officer
Reporting
• Monthly quantitative and detailed qualitative reports.
• Ad-hoc reports of any incident or new trends.
• Coordination meeting minutes
• Other reports as requested

JOB REQUIREMENTS *
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Social work or related fields (psychology, sociology, social animation etc.). Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
• Experience in the field of social work
• Knowledge of, respect and empathy for the communities we are working with
• Commitment to advancing women rights and women empowerment. Very good listening and communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills. Good facilitation skills – capable of managing and facilitating group discussions with program participants
Desirable
• Experience in working closely with community members throughout a program cycle.
• Previous experience working in a GBV program.
• Previous experience working in MHPSS is a plus.
• Experience in or understanding of program accountability principles
