Reports To: Senior Logistics & Procurement Officer
Job Purpose: The Procurement Officer is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of and adherence to logistic and security procedures and provides logistical support to B&Z centers & programs.
Major Activities :
- Handing all procurement of Basmeh & Zeitooneh centers and programs, contacting suppliers, gathering quotations, and purchasing items.
- Implement and maintain procurement procedures for all projects and keep records for auditing purposes
- Keep accurate records of payment and delivery of goods and services
- Ensure that no procurements are carried out without Financial approval
- Handling the filing of all documents properly for any reference required
- Field visits for suppliers checking and monitoring contractor performance, recommending contract modifications when necessary.
- Following up with suppliers on all deadlines
- Making sure suppliers are abiding by the agreements signed with B&Z
- Ensure that the purchasing chain is appropriate and cost-effective, based on budget, markets, infrastructure, nature of the B&Z programs, and need for timely delivery.
- Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products to be ordered.
- Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy.
- Maintain knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases, and provide information about these rules to organization staff members and vendors.
- Coordinate with various units and ensure that the requests presented adhere to B&Z’s policies & procedures.
- Working in –line with the donor’s compliance and accountability measures.
- Working concerning B.Z logistics and procurement policies.

- On request, perform any other additional duties assigned by the Senior Logistics & Procurement Officer to allow the organization to function optimally
- Making sure suppliers are abiding by the agreements signed with B&Z
People Management: Coordinate with various departments and ensure that the requests presented adhere to B&Z’s policies & procedures.
Miscellaneous: Upon request, perform any other additional duties assigned by the Senior Logistics & Procurement Officer to allow the organization to function optimally.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position
