Mission of the position:
The Human Resources Officer supports the Human Resources Manager in administrating and organising the personnel administration according to the Human Resources Manual and the national legislation. He/she is responsible for keeping all personnel documents updated.
Key performance areas and main responsibilities:
- The Human Resources Officer supports the Human Resources Manager in all organisational and administrative matters within the field of personnel administration.
- He/She is responsible for personnel documentation according to the national labour law and the Human Resources Manual.
- He/She is responsible for maintaining and updating the personnel database, filing of job descriptions and other ongoing Human Resources processes in the Member Association like documenting in form of lists of conducted onboarding programmes, Performance Appraisal Talks, annual leaves etc.
- He/She assists the HR Manager with NSSF files of the staff
Child Safeguarding (CS)
- Carries out recruitment processes with a strong focus on preventing potential CS risks, including mandatory police and background checks.
- Ensures that CS responsibilities are included in the job descriptions of all co-workers.
- Ensures orientation on CS reporting during onboarding programme of new co-workers.
- Responsible to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination.
- Carries out CS risk assessment within his/her area of work and ensures that relevant actions are put in place to mitigate existing and possible CS risks.
- Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the national CS focal person or any other member of the national CS team and/or to respective line manager.
