Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Assess current operational processes and identify areas for improvement to maximize the NGO's impact
- Develop and implement standardized procedures for project management, resource allocation, and workflow optimization
- Manage, coordinate and implement community support projects targeting different groups.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders (donors, public institutions, sponsors, businesses, …) and align regarding specific projects while collecting relevant information and providing feedback for the evaluation of outcomes.
- Generate programmatic donor reports and internal reports.
- Propose and lead initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and address challenges
- Foster a collaborative culture across team members and facilitate regular meetings to ensure alignment and effective information sharing
- Work closely with the HR/finance department to ensure effective onboarding and integration of new team members recruited
Communications & Outreach
- Assess communication needs and advise on awareness, promotion and communication requirements, communication plans and strategies related to activities and services.
- Develop and organize visibility actions, promotions, conferences, media interviews, meetings, workshops, press conferences, targeting different audiences (internal, local, national, international, professional/non-professional, …).
- Manage, coordinate and implement awareness campaigns (online and offline).
- Research, design, compile and edit information for information and communication materials (reports, newsletters, briefs, speeches, booklets, brochures, press releases, press articles, presentations, awareness materials, websites content, social media posts, … ) intended for relevant audiences while evaluating and reporting on deliverables and results.
- Continuously communicate and maintain relations with the donors, stakeholders, partners and the media while representing the organization in outreach activities and media appearances as a spokesperson.
- Represent IDRAAC in public forums (cluster meetings, international conferences, donor events, funding competitions) when needed to increase the organization’s visibility.
Fundraising and Grants Management
- Work closely with the team to design, write, and submit competitive funding proposals and budgets that are responsive to donor guidelines and requirements.
- Manage programmatic, monitoring and evaluation and financial requirements of donors, including deadlines and deliverables.
- Manage sponsorships and maintain relations with donors and funding organizations while advising the management on potential donors and sponsors.
- Search and assess available funding and sponsorship opportunities.
- Support the organization in fundraising events and campaigns.
Qualifications and required skills:
- University Degree in Public Health, Management, Social Work, Psychology, Public Relations, or other relevant medical field (Master’s Degree is preferred).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of non-governmental organizations or academic institutions.
- Proven experience in grants and project management within an NGO or non-profit organization
- Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, research, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Leader with strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to changing circumstances
- Interest or previous experience in Mental Health is a plus.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
- Proficiency in communication tools, project management software, and collaboration platforms
- Passion for the NGO's mission and a commitment to making a positive impact
- Understanding of ethical considerations in communication within the non-profit sector
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic (French is a plus), with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and sensitively
- Proficiency in MS Office, Internet literacy, Social Media Use and Analysis, and Data Collection Tools/Analysis (is a plus).
