Key Of Life is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for a part-time position to lead and implement the monitoring and evaluation strategy for the Key of Life project in Akkar.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the effective tracking, assessment, and reporting of project activities and outcomes, contributing to data-driven decision-making and project optimization. This role involves designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, collecting and analyzing relevant data, and providing regular reports to inform project progress and impact.

key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Monitoring and Evaluation Framework: Develop comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework, tools, and system to track project progress and impact. Collaborate with program staff to establish clear indicators, targets, and data collection methods aligned with the project's objectives.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Coordinate the collection, verification, and analysis of data related to project activities, outputs, and outcomes. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data and use data analysis to inform decision-making and project adjustments.
  • Regular Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate monitoring and evaluation reports, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and recommendations. Present findings to project stakeholders and contribute to internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Quality Assurance and Capacity Building: Provide technical support and guidance to project staff, partners, and stakeholders to enhance their understanding of monitoring and evaluation processes. Build their capacity to effectively collect and report data for improved project outcomes.
  • Evaluation and Learning: Lead the planning and execution of project evaluations and assessments, capturing lessons learned and best practices. Utilize evaluation findings to guide project refinements and improvements.
  • Partnership and Coordination: Collaborate closely with the project staff, project partners, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of monitoring and evaluation activities with project goals. Foster strong working relationships to facilitate data sharing and reporting.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, International Development, Monitoring and Evaluation).

Professional Competencies:

  • Proven minimum a 3 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluating development projects, particularly those addressing gender-based violence, women's empowerment, or related fields.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data management and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Deep knowledge of GBV issues and ad hoc curriculum
  • Strong conceptual and practical understanding of protection standards
  • Understanding of emerging trends and challenges in protection of civilians and refugees and potential solutions to the challenges, preferably in Lebanon
  • Demonstrable understanding of the gender dynamics of protection work and ability to capture in analysis and design of protection activities with a strong emphasis on the gendered aspects of conflict, violence and abuse
  • Commitment to gender equality, human rights, and social justice.
  • Proven ability to communicate easily and readily verbally and in written form, fast delivery of a substantial workload with completed, specific planned deliverables, and to write analysis documents
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences, and the ability to work in a wide variety of cultural contexts.
