The project technical officer is responsible to define and collaborate cooperatives/platforms, with staff management experience, knowledge about the context of Palestinian refugees, experience in the methodologies especially conflict transformation and community dynamics, extensive background in reporting and M&E, able to design and follow-up research and studies, background on socio-economic approaches.
Key duties and responsibilities of the project technical officer:
Supports and guides DROPS in the development of their individual plans, proposals and advocacy, including activities on staff capacity strengthening.
Use personal and professional networks to make linkages, identify networking opportunities and initiate collaborations that will generate leads
Engage with DROPS beneficiaries – juniors that could benefit from the programs and onboard them after a criteria-fit assessment and initial needs assessment.
Understand the requirements / needs of juniors/ youth and the source of business cooperatives problems and suggest solutions accordingly.
Perform a thorough diagnosis of the beneficiaries; quickly grasp the challenges and recommend solutions as well as technical assistance allowing the beneficiary to grow their sales, create sustainable jobs, and have an impact on their immediate environment
Contributes to the design of innovative elements of the program, in particular the functioning of the current project, as well as the design of a participatory approach mechanism.
Ensures contracts with local organizations and host organizations are established.
Monitoring & follow up staff progress towards established their goals and in the organizational level or joint project plans, and flags in the DROPS overarching management team when problems arise.
Identifies, analyses and highlights success and good practices, as well as potential risks and problems.
Support in writing project proposals and funding applications in cooperation with the Programme manager and the Director
