Jobs Purpose: The Logistics and Security Officer – Akkar is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of and adherence to logistic and security procedures and provides logistical support to B&Z centers & programs.
Major Activities :
- Ensure timely payment of rent, utilities (electricity, water, gas, etc.), and running costs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, control stock, and provide monthly asset and stock reports.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and recipients to handle logistics and procurement matters related to the Small Grants Project.
- Document all necessary transfers and donor filing updates.
- Ensure compliance with B&Z Logistics Handbook, company policies, and donor requirements in all procedures.
- Maintain meticulous records of payments and goods/services deliveries.
- Coordinate with service providers for the centers' needs and oversee maintenance.
- Delegate tasks to the team professionally.
- Coordinate all center requirements, including refreshments, supplies, and utilities.
- Keep management informed about market needs.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing aligned with budget, market conditions, and program requirements.
- Source suppliers through catalogs and internet research, conducting product information interviews.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Logistics & Procurement Coordinator to support organizational functioning.
- Conduct regular Check of the center premises to deter and detect any security breaches or unauthorized access.
- Monitor and control access to the center, including visitors, staff, and vehicles.
- Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies and report them to the appropriate authorities and management.
- Cooperate with local law enforcement agencies and other security stakeholders when required.
- Report any suspicious activities or individuals to the center coordinator or security focal point.
- Ensure that all doors, windows, and gates are properly locked and secured at the end of each day.
- Assist in the implementation of security measures during events or gatherings at the center.
Miscellaneous: Upon request, perform any other additional duties assigned by the Logistics & procurement Coordinator in order to allow the organization to function optimally.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Working in –line with the donor’s compliance and accountability measure.
- Working in respect to B&Z logistics and procurement policies.

- Following up closely with staff reporting to this position.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position
