I.Summary
The CBM supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the community-based midwifery program at the national level and providing necessary support and guidance to the community-based midwives implementing in the project.
II. Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Support the 20 selected Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs) located across Lebanon with the implementation of the CBM program.
- Participate in the recruitment process of community-based midwives when necessary.
- Provide training sessions, on the job coaching and technical support to the 20 midwives implementing the project across Lebanon.
- Act as the CBM program technical point.
- Conduct field visits to the 20 supported PHCs to monitor the implementation of activities and provide support when needed.
- Participate in the development of reporting tools, and educational material.
- Ensure timely and proper reporting by the 20 CBM working at the 20 PHCs across Lebanon.
- Supervise, support, and manage the 20 CBM working on the project and ensure smooth implementation of the project.
- Assist the CBMs, provide one-on-one counselling and awareness sessions to the beneficiaries when needed.
- Ensure timely referral of cases and follow up through the proper channels.
- Coordinate with the logistics and procurement department to ensure procurement of needed tools for the CBM in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the health officers in all governorates, and coordinate closely with the supported PHCs, Lebanese Order of midwives, MoPH and other stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the project.
- Report daily and weekly to the project coordinator by completing the required forms and databases.
- Attend IOCC staff meetings when required.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
III.Qualifications
A.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Native Arabic speaker and fluency in English is necessary.
- Strong social, interpersonal, communication and intercultural skills
- Team player and team leader.
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
B. Education:
- B.S. in midwifery
C.Experience:
- 3-4 years of work experience.
- Previous experience in NGOs and humanitarian field is an advantage.
- Previous experience in team management is an advantage.
IV.Contacts/Key Relationships (IOCC)
Senior Health program coordinator, Project Coordinator, health Officers, Community-Based midwives, MEAL department.
V.Working Conditions
- Stationed in the field with frequent visits to the Primary Healthcare Centers IOCC is operating through.
- Visits to Beirut office, at least once per week, for meetings, trainings, and relevant paperwork.
- The candidate should have his/her own car.
