General Objectives and Tasks:
General Objective:
Assist the special education teacher in providing children with disabilities with learning activities and experiences designed to help them reach their full potential, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society.
General tasks:
- Support the teacher in promoting an appropriate learning environment.
- Support the teacher in preparing the classroom resources and the needed material.
- Participate in developing hygienic, food and clothing autonomy at children.
- Maintain safe, clean and effective classroom.
- Check up regularly on the class maintenance and report any maintenance issue.
- Coordinate with the nurse to ensure the health of the children under the supervision of the special education teacher.
- Ensure the safety of the children during the bus trip in the early morning and in the afternoon.
- Ensure a safe pick up of the children from the bus to the classroom and vice versa.
- Make sure that all messages to the parents are shared in a professional and efficient way under the supervision of the special education teacher.
- Follow up with the parents on the attendance of their children and record all the absences and the reasons behind them.
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Attend and participate in all required meetings and trainings.
- Show understanding and commitment to child safeguarding policy and inclusion principles.
