The website officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our online store. The primary responsibilities will revolve around managing the inventory, overseeing product uploads, providing exceptional customer support, and handling various related tasks to enhance the overall customer experience.
1. Manage the products’ inventory on the website:
- Update and maintain the product inventory on the website, ensuring accurate stock levels and availability.
- Coordinate with the suppliers and internal volunteers to manage stock replenishment and monitor product demand.
2. Update all the products:
- Upload new products to the website, ensuring accurate product descriptions, images, and pricing.
- Review and update product information, including specifications, pricing, and availability.
- Implement SEO best practices to optimize product pages for better search engine visibility.
3. Handle the customer support:
- Provide outstanding customer support via various channels, such as email, live chat, and phone, addressing inquiries, issues, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist customers with order tracking, product recommendations, and returns or exchanges.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by actively engaging with customers and resolving their problems promptly.
4. Process the orders and their fulfillment:
- Monitor and process incoming orders, verifying payment and shipping details to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and shipping teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Prepare the products for shipment. This involves selecting the ordered items, packaging them securely, and labeling the packages with shipping labels that include the customer's address and any necessary tracking information.
5. Maintain the safety of the website:
- Monitor the website for technical issues, broken links, and user experience improvements.
- Work closely with the IT or development team to address any website-related issues promptly.
6. Ensure proper data analysis and reporting:
- Utilize analytics tools to generate reports on sales, inventory levels, and customer behavior.
- Use data insights to make informed decisions about product offerings and website improvements.
7. Coordinate closely with the marketing and communications department for all related matters:
- Assist the marketing team in promoting products through the website, newsletters, and social media platforms.
- Collaborate on special promotions, discounts, and marketing campaigns.
Working Schedule: 5 days/week; From 09:00 AM Till 05:00 PM
Contract type: 1 year (Renewable depending on funding and performance).
