1. Purpose
Funded by the MoFA Luxembourg and in partnership with CARE Luxembourg, CIL is implementing a project titled “Supporting and Empowering Women and Girls through the Provision of Holistic Services”.
One of the main components of the project is the distribution of Feminine Hygiene Kits, whereby distribution and monitoring volunteers are to be recruited to ensure that such distributions are well-planned, executed, and impactful in coordination with the PO and the MEAL department at CIL. Volunteers will support in distributing the kits on the field, collecting data through surveys, interviews, or other methods, and will compile reports to provide insights to the organization.
They will help in assessing the needs of the target community by collecting information about the current access to feminine hygiene products. This involves understanding the challenges and barriers women and girls face in accessing these products, such as affordability or cultural taboos.

3. Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the program implementation team throughout the distribution process in the field.
- Monitor the distribution process to ensure that it is carried out efficiently and effectively;
- Keep track of the number of kits distributed, the locations covered, and whether the distribution is reaching the intended beneficiaries;
- Disseminate awareness protection messages and provide relevant information for beneficiaries while ensuring proper referral for identified cases;
- Data collection of different assessments (vulnerability assessment, post monitoring distribution assessment, post intervention assessment, etc…) using KOBO toolbox;
- Conduct data entry and data cleaning;
- Regular coordination with MEAL Department team in the survey submissions;
- Ensure that all questions in the assessment have been asked and that the answers are clear and correct;
- Provide feedback during the development of data collection tools;
- Report complaints to the Accountability Officer;
- Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected;
- Participate in internal MEAL team meetings when and if needed;
- Participate in PDMs, drafting reports, related presentations, and data analysis when and if needed;
- P.S. The volunteer will be held accountable for any electronic equipment provided by CIL for the purpose of the project.

4. Qualifications / special skills or knowledge
a. Skills & knowledge:
- Experience in utilizing technology tools and possess the ability to master new technology tools as required;
- Familiarity with the use of an Android tablet;
- Thorough knowledge in data collection, data entry, and data cleaning;
- Ability to work independently as well as an effective team player;
- Willing to work on the field when required;
- Good writing skills
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
Confidence and can-do attitude; ability to advance projects with minimal supervision
b. Experience: Number of months/ years of previous professional experience in a similar position.
At least 0-1 years of relevant experience, especially in the humanitarian sector and community engagement.
c. Academic background:
Junior or senior students or graduates in one or several of the following areas: Social Sciences, Public Health, Environmental Science, or any other related field.
d. Languages: English and/ or Arabic are the working language of CARE International.
Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
5. Other contract elements
CARE will offer this volunteering opportunity for up to 3 months for an allowance at USD $25 for meals and transportation and for a limit of up to 16 days a month.
