The MEAL Officer will also play an important role in improving information management, data quality, and strengthening knowledge sharing and learning across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement a robust MEAL system in line with organizational standards and procedures internally and externally.
- Conduct and support evaluation studies (baseline, midterm, and end line) for the organization's projects.
- Design program monitoring tools and ensure effective monitoring of program outputs, outcomes, indicators, and targets.
- Contribute to monitoring and reporting processes, including annual, mid-term, quarterly and ah-hoc reports.
- Accountability:
- Ensure effective accountability systems are in place, including beneficiary complaints and response mechanisms.
- Act as the focal point for receiving and channeling beneficiary feedback.
- Learning:
- Contribute to program and organizational learning processes.
- Ensure all MEAL processes are gender-sensitive, inclusive, and participatory, capturing the voice of the target communities.
- Reporting and Coordination:
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders, including local NGOs, civil society members, and other partners the organization engages with.
- Provide regular updates and reports on MEAL activities to the management team and relevant project staff.
- Supporting field workers with data collection processes to ensure high-adherence levels with policies, procedures, and research objectives.
- Capacity Building:
- Provide MEAL support to implementing partners in program monitoring and evaluation management.
- Promote networking and collaboration with program stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for the Projects Coordinator position should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Experience in designing and implementing MEAL systems.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
