Tabitha for Relief and Development is a local Lebanese NGO affiliated with Dorcas Aid International, a Christian relief and development Dutch organization with a long-standing history of providing humanitarian aid and development programs to vulnerable communities worldwide. Our mission is to deliver essential humanitarian assistance, psychosocial support, and community-based protection initiatives, food security and livelihood opportunities.

Main Tasks:
- Visit the beneficiaries to assess their needs, determine what are their business recovery needs in terms of equipment, raw materials, and tools they are missing to develop their business, and fill out a business plan form.
- Agree with the beneficiaries on the equipment or tools to buy that conforms with Dorcas’s policy.
- Find suppliers to purchase raw materials, equipment, and tools, and get quotations while ensuring a good quality of the goods.
- Examine and manage existing suppliers.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Coordinate with the services and support manager to conduct negotiations with suppliers regarding (product quality prices, specifications, discounts, penalty conditions, returned goods, delivery mechanism, discounts, and payment method)
- Procure and purchase sewing machines and industrial sewing machines for the center in Achrafiye where women will learn about sewing after having the approval of the procurement committee.
- Review all forms and paperwork such as receipts and ensure they are correct and following Dorcas’s procurement procedures and guidelines. Review all the logistics invoices and keep data updated including doing data entry for the project
- Visit project locations to deliver the equipment or materials to the beneficiaries, ensuring their signatures on the receipts.
- Assist the beneficiaries with training on the equipment and how to use it with close collaboration with the suppliers.
- Conduct regular field visits to the project locations, beneficiaries, and Achrafieh community center to follow up on the success of the project and provide assistance or maintenance when needed.
- Share with the project officer any important information related to the project including updates from the field.
- Communicate with other key departments: logistics, finance, and administration when needed.
- Participate in training opportunities.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness
- Coordinate, and ensure a smooth implementation of and adherence to logistic and security procedures and provides logistical support.
- Report on tasks conducted on regular basis to the line manager.
- Perform other tasks as necessary.
Educational requirements/skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics.
- Understanding of procurement processes, ability to source and negotiate with suppliers, and experience in managing suppliers are crucial.
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers for the best deals and terms.
- Willingness to adapt to changing situations and address various tasks as necessary.
