Program Implementation Management
- Ensure proper mobilization and daily implementation of programs’ field related activities (technically and operationally) through constant internal coordination and regular follow up with relevant RI staff in all departments (Finance, and MEAL) with the oversight of the Program Coordinator.
- Coordinate with HR department on any new recruitment/vacancy.
- Work closely with the supply chain and operations (SCO) department to equip RI’s education centers and following up with the operations department on all requests submitted by the program team.
- Responsible for the implementation of all projects’ activities (Homework Support Groups (HSGs) sessions, summer remedial activities, structured PSS and story reading in the area of RI’s intervention) by supporting Teachers with planning and implementation of the aforementioned activities.
- In coordination with the Education Technical Lead, conduct biweekly classroom observations for teachers in the Education Centers to support the development and growth of teachers’ teaching practices.
- Document the classroom observations in RI’s observation tool.
- Report challenges, and successes of the project implementation on a daily basis.
- Provide daily updates to the Education Program Coordinator regarding the progress of tasks, risk areas, problems, issues faced with the schools targeted, refugees, and/or host communities, critical work delays, and all related aspects.
- Ensure the acceptance and the visibility of the project and its objectives among the targeted beneficiaries, their families, and local communities by consistent professional and humanitarian comportment at all times.
- Responsible for managing the Teachers, including but not limited to employee relations, grievances, leaves management, empowerment, training and development, performance objectives, capacity building, completion of performance evaluations in a comprehensive and timely manner.
- Issues faced in any of the above-mentioned aspects should be reported to the HR Team, Education Program Coordinator, and Cash and Education Program Manager; all decisions taken should be in alignment with RI’s policies and procedures.
- Responsible for preparing, equipping, supervising, and managing the Learning Center.
- Accurately report on the attendance of children to the Homework Support Groups and the Summer Remedial Support activities on a daily/monthly basis.
- Prepare the validation events in the area of implementation.
- Ensure clear information communication with beneficiaries regarding the education activities and procedures.
- Responsible for the hard copies archiving (children’s certificates, children absenteeism reports etc.).
- Submit the monthly reports and support the Education Program Coordinator in the donor reports.
- Responsible for submitting Cash for Transportation (CFT) Loading sheets on a monthly basis for cash execution.
- Responsible for vetting beneficiaries using CSI platform.
- Responsible for submitting needed Purchase Requests along with receiving goods and services ordered (Stock counting and managing remaining stock in coordination with the Operations department).
- Responsible for updating and editing Data Master lists to ensure proper reporting on targets.
- Identify and refer cases of children who are identified to have any protection risks to AAP & MH Teams internally and to other service providers externally through RIMs and IRFs.
- Collaborate and coordinate with local partner’s field team members on the schedule and activities of its activities that will take place at RI’s ECs.
- Support in selecting, assessing, and equipping the ECs in Akkar areas.
- Other duties as requested.
Direct reporting, dotted line work coordination and external coordination
- The Job Holder reports directly to the Education Program Coordinator.
- The Job Holder should take decisions related to the accountabilities outlined above seeking approval from the Education Program Coordinator. Any decision beyond her/his realm of responsibility should be discussed with the Education Program Coordinator.
- Under the supervision and coordination of the Education Program Coordinator; the Job Holder should follow up with other members of the ECP team to implement the needed work plans.
- Coordinate with Education Technical Lead on the technical implementation of the project.
Working Conditions
On a general note, the Job Holder work location will be RI’s Education Center in Akkar. However, most of the time will be spent in the field with beneficiaries, RI’s ECs, leading Homework Support Groups or conducting household visits. Occasional travel to Beirut Office will be required.
