DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This is not an exhaustive list of duties. The need for flexibility is required as staff are expected to carry out any other related duties that are within their skills and capabilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Coordination and Administration:

  • Provide support and coordination in the implementation of all aspects of the project and ensure attainment of key objectives of the projects, as outlined in the project documents.
  • Ensure that Project Coordinator is regularly updated on the progress of the projects and any issues that might impede the successful implementation of the projects.
  • Prepare regular management and operational reports covering the achievement of key milestones agreed in plans.
  • Support in projects’ start up regular monitoring of the project implementation through monitoring field visits specially PSS activities.
  • Assist and monitor the implementation of activities.
  • Assist in filing and record keeping of project activities.
  • Assist in analysis of data collected to facilitate assessment results and lessons learnt.
  • Collection all papers from team related to budgets covering all aspects of the projects on a monthly basis.
  • In coordination with the Project Coordinator, assume a supportive role in drafting and/or reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and associated reporting across all projects.
  • Focal point for QUDWA
  • Regular follow up for QUDWA’s activities, and needs assessments for QUDWA’s Volunteers ( Facilitation and Communication skills )
  • Other related tasks and responsibilities might be added as the need of LECORVAW management needs

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The below qualifications are a bit exaggerated; they correspond to a head of Organization.

  • Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Social Science field or any other related field. 2-3 years of coordination experience in the relative field preferably with local and international NGOs and project management.
  • Experience implementing international human rights programming;
  • Experience working with and developing the capacity of local CBOs/NGOs; and
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic M&E concepts.
  • Prefer working before on QUDWA initiative.
  • Analytical Skills:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
  • Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information, collect and research data, use intuition and experience to complement data and design work flows and procedures;
  • Understands organizational and strategic implications of decisions;
  • Ability to develop and implement cost saving measures;
  • Ability to responsibly manage organizational resources; and
  • Ability to align daily work with strategic goal
  • Ability to delegate tasks to staff with diligent follow-up and action points.
  • Language Skills:  Must have written and spoken fluency in English, Arabic and French are a plus
  • Communication and Leadership Skills:
  • Exhibits confidence in self and others;
  • Has an ability to foster effective communication and teamwork with staff from a range of economic, cultural, ethnic and social groups;
  • Inspires and motivates others to perform well;
  • Effectively influences actions and opinions of others;
  • Accepts feedback from others;
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead strategic planning, project development and evaluation;
  • Gives appropriate recognition to others;
  • Excellent oral communication skills: speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; participates in meetings;
  • Effectively communicates utilizing a variety of technologies such as phone or video phone (i.e. Skype);
  • Effectively communicates with non-native English speakers;
  • Excellent written skills: writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet target audience needs, including cross-cultural needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information;
  • Effectively communicates and manages electronic communication such as email, Blackberry (or other PDA);
  • Ability to remain composed and professional in difficult circumstances; and
  • Policy, advocacy and community organizing experience a plus.
  • Computer Skills:  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange; Windows operating systems.
