اضغط هنا وانضم الى مجموعتنا على الواتساب لنشر الوظائفThe PSS officer will be responsible for implementing Psychosocial Support activities with the children and adults in the targeted areas.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Develop protection session plan and conduct psychosocial and awareness activities at the community level.
- Identify protection concerns and provide psychological support to cases of concern.
- Make necessary and timely referrals when needed, respecting confidentiality and the beneficiary’s rights.
- Conduct discussion groups, focus groups at the community level.
- Hold a monthly meeting with the field staff and Program Coordinator to follow up on the beneficiaries’ status and psychosocial intervention.
- Ensure timely reporting of the activities to the Senior FS/WASH Program Coordinator.
- Assist in organizing protection events for the beneficiaries.
- Build the capacity of the field staff on psychological issues, when necessary.
- Help in identifying and training lead mothers.
- Lead on the mother care groups in terms of content and follow-up.
- Attend the Protection working groups.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and initiative taker.
- Good report writing skills.
- Ability to communicate with vulnerable populations.
- Advanced knowledge in psychosocial / psychological interventions (Child protection, Sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), art therapy etc…)
- Dynamic personality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of work experience.
- Previous experience in NGO and humanitarian field is an advantage.
- Previous experience in working with children and vulnerable populations is an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Stationed in the field, with frequent visits to IOCC office.
