- Salary: USD 24,600 Per Annum
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract Period: 1 year renewable
- Location: Hybrid based in Crisis Action’s Beirut Office
- Start date: ASAP
- Responsible to: Operations Manager
Overview of role
Crisis Action is looking for candidates to be our next IT Operations Associate. The successful candidate will provide remote technical support to all Crisis Action staff, help develop and implement IT and security standards and policies and provide technology support and solutions to meet the needs of the organization. The IT Operations Associate will help in the implementation and management of the software applications and hardware infrastructure that support Crisis Action operations, and in the implementation of the organization’s security strategy to safeguard its assets, staff and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to internal user queries to deal with daily system issues that do not fall under the 3rd party IT Support provider’s remit.
- Manage SharePoint permissions.
- Develop and update IT documentation and user guides including videos.
- Perform regular audits to make sure that systems and support activities are running smoothly.
- Participate in security audits and security assessments.
- Perform regular restores to make sure that backups are okay and can be used for data recovery in the event of a data loss/hack.
- Handle the logistics of new computer purchases and configurations.
- Assist in remote secure disk wipes and computer resets at laptop transfer or decommissioning.
- Support the onboarding of new staff to systems on their first week, in coordination with the HR Team.
- Perform the offboarding tasks of leavers from all systems as per the HR policy.
- Update the asset inventory as needed.
- Assist in the search, testing, and deployment of new software solutions as needed.
- Provide weekly activity reports and progress updates.
- Assist the Operations Manager in system administration.
- Ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Person specification
The following are essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering and/or equivalent working experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in an IT support role.
- Good command of English, written and spoken. French is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including active listening skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience analyzing application logs.
- Familiarity with Cloud environments, Microsoft 365, and collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom).
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint, Windows OS, and Windows Server administration.
- SharePoint design and advanced administration is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- MDM/EMS/Intune experience is a plus.
- Linux administration experience is a plus.
- Open-mindedness and willingness to learn.
- Must have the right to work in Lebanon.
