Job Purpose

Mercy-USA is seeking a full-time driver to ensure staff transportation and the safety of vehicles.

Project location: Akkar

Areas of intervention: Tripoli & Akkar – Lebanon

Responsibilities

• Transporting Mercy-USA employees upon request.
• Carrying out daily vehicle maintenance checks.
• Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.
• Arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary.
• Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
• Filling daily logs (mileage records, destination, fuel, passengers…).

Minimum Hiring Requirements 

• Brevet Certificate or any equivalent certification
• Fluent in Arabic Language
• Basic command of the English Language
• Akkar residency is required
• Valid driving  license and clean driving record (رخصة سوق عمومية)
• Utilizing a smartphone is necessary
• Good command of phone applications (Kobo, Whatsapp, Google Maps…)
• Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience
• NGO/INGO experience is preferable
• Knowledge/familiarity with the area of operations
• Punctuality, reliability and strong sense of responsibility
