اضغط هنا وانضم الى مجموعتنا على الواتساب لنشر الوظائفThe Child Protection program has the aim of providing psychosocial support for children and their caregivers to enable them improving resilience and promoting positive coping mechanisms, facing hard situations and stressful events and incidents. It ensures that vulnerable people are supported and empowered in order to keep them safe. The psychotherapist will work in close coordination with the case worker and the Field Coordinator on the required and assigned tasks.
The psychotherapist will be based in Amel center as part of the Child protection team.
Main Roles and responsibilities
Task # 1- Identification and referral mechanism
Identify the psychological needs of the beneficiaries and their families;
Identify protection concerns and provide psychosocial support to cases of concern as needed;
Conduct therapeutic follow-up for children and adolescents on an individual basis as needed including home visits (when needed with the Case Manager);
Collect, analyze, and synthesize information in order to implement and support intervention methods and techniques.
Task # 2 –Direct Psychological support
Provide adequate psychological support to the children enrolled in the CP program and to their caregivers according to the needs identified;
Provide group psychosocial support sessions for children and caregivers.
Coordinate and work directly with case managers and child protection coordinator to develop intervention plans and follow up at the home level;
Keep track of patient numbers/cases through outpatient records, to be submitted at the end of every month;
Make necessary and timely referrals after consulting with the CP Coordinator;
Complete intake assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary;
Implement all the applicable Lebanese laws related to child protection (including National SOPs on case management) and implement all the procedures of the resilience program;
Respect the code of conduct, CP Policy, CP behavioral policy and the PSEA policy ;
Task # 3- Other tasks
Participate in internal and external trainings when required for enhancing knowledge and skills;
Active involvement in providing staff wellbeing and staff orientation in psychological field.
Participate in Case conferences when required;
Ensure observation and evaluation of the implemented activities;
Ensure respect to the working hours and working days;
Work in team with the social worker, facilitators and animators;
Ensure timely reporting on a weekly and monthly basis;
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills
Masters in Clinical Psychology with a minimum of 5 years of professional practice in a similar environment. Having a work permit from the Ministry of Public Health.
Good knowledge in the Child Protection core principles.
Demonstrating professional facilitation skills and experience.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaboration with different members.
Fluent in English and Arabic (oral and written).
Sharing of key humanitarian values with cross-cultural sensitivity.
Experience in data gathering and analyses (Microsoft Office).
Working days: 4 days per week
