Job Purpose: Plan and provide medical care for children in CP and education projects, and ensure the healthy well-being of the children.
Reporting to: Project Coordinator
Major Activities:
- Promotes health awareness strategies; conducts periodic checkups for students.
- Conducts annual medical checkups for all students.
- Interprets to students' parents the medical reports issued and encourages them to seek the opinion of their family doctor.
- Provides emergency health care to needy cases such as injuries, headaches, and stomachaches.
- Ability to read vital signs of the patient (fever, heartbeat, pulse, breath, etc.…)
- Detecting communicable diseases, and taking necessary action.
- Accompanied students to hospitals in case of emergencies.
- Organize students’ medical records, in collaboration with the parents.
- Develops a nursing care plan for special health needs requiring nursing assessment.
- Intervention or supervision and communication of the appropriate health information to the principal.
- Warns the concerned teachers about students having a special case.
- Assists in the health education of students by acting as resources for staff, and actively teaching classes such as first aid.
- Reviews and maintains health records.
- Provides periodic reports to the Project Manager.
- Attends meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Writing monthly reports that include referral reports, awareness sessions, and medical aid support.
- Networking with humanitarian organizations, institutions, societies, and others to support participants to obtain the required service inside and outside the community center.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor are to support the children and caretakers and enable and develop B&Z programs.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Working within the principles of the Code of Conduct.
- Ensuring that participants have access to the appropriate service.
- Ensuring that the Foundation’s team interacts with participants within the principles of the B&Z, especially preserving dignity and avoiding psychological harm.
- Achieving the required number of beneficiaries at the end of the program while ensuring the quality of work.
- Ensure that a safe environment is provided for the child on the organization's premises.
- Create positive communication with the team.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing or any health-related field.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
- Reporting skills
