The Lebanese Environment Forum (LEF), in partnership with the University of Balamand, is leading a project funded by the European Union, for Conducting an evidence-based national Non-State Actors Campaign on Marine Protected Areas Network aiming at enhancing the establishment of an effective MPAs network in Lebanon’s EEZ for the protection of Lebanon’s coastal and marine biodiversity and ecosystems through a national non-state actors advocacy campaign supported by science-based evidence.

  1. Mission’s objectives and tasks

LEF is seeking the services of a skilled and creative graphic designer to support the project on MPA Network. The designer will be responsible for developing visually appealing and professional materials for training sessions, webinars, seminars, and other project-related activities. The aim is to enhance the project's visibility, professionalism, and engagement among stakeholders and the general public.

  1. Objectives of the mission
  • Develop high-quality graphic designs for training materials, presentations, webinars, and promotional materials related to the marine conservation project.
  • Ensure that all designs are visually appealing, aligned with the project's branding guidelines, and effectively communicate key messages to the target audience.
  • Enhance the project's visibility, professionalism, and engagement through creative and impactful visual designs.
  1. Key Deliverables and outputs
  • Design concepts and mock-ups for training materials, presentations, webinars, and promotional materials.
  • Finalized graphic designs in various file formats (e.g., PDF, JPEG, PNG) for digital and print use.
  • Source files (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) for all designs to facilitate future edits and modifications.
  • Any additional materials or assets requested by the project team to support project activities.
  1.  Scope of Work:
  • Collaborate with project staff to understand the objectives, target audience, and key messages of the marine conservation and MPA Network project.
  • Develop visually appealing designs for training manuals, presentations, webinars, infographics, social media posts, posters, banners, and other promotional materials as needed.
  • Incorporate the project's branding guidelines, logos, and colors into all designs to ensure consistency and brand recognition.
  • Provide multiple design concepts and revisions based on feedback from project staff to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all designs are suitable for both digital and print formats and meet the necessary technical specifications.
  1. Requested Qualifications
  • Advanced degree and proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and professional designs.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project staff to understand requirements and incorporate feedback.
  • Prior experience working on projects related to environmental conservation or similar fields is desirable.

Date of start-up: 1 June 2024

Foreseen finishing date: 31 December 2025
