I. Project’s implementation
• Ensure a safe space for children to access, express and spend time through the provided activities.
• Design the activities for children based on their needs, interests and problems while following the existing and convenient curricula.
• Design the activities for caregivers based on their needs, interests and problems while following the existing and convenient curricula.
• Implement the activities through providing the needed psychosocial support sessions.
• Support and provide help for children and their caregivers while taking into consideration the individual profiles/ characteristics, taking into consideration any disability, if existing.
• Fill the monitoring and evaluation tools including assessment forms, attendance sheets and evaluation forms for children and caregivers attending the activities.
• Ensure the activities are interactive, engaging and entertaining for building their physical and intellectual skills.
• Ensure equal gender representation of males and females in the implemented activities.
• Ensure cultural sensitivity while adopting and implementing any activity.
• Identify cases at risk through observing signs, symptoms or acts and refer them to the Social Worker.
• Adopt a child friendly approach.
• Respect the code of conduct, CP policy, CP behavioral policy and the PSEA policy.
II. Internal coordination
• Coordinate with the Social Worker and other team members to implement the activities at the center and in surrounding areas.
• Ensure teamwork bonding when organizing events, implementing activities and dividing tasks.
• Participate in the team’s regular meetings with the Child Protection program.
• Participate in other internal meetings as required.
III. Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
• Ensure the development of the action plan for the activities during the cycle, in coordination with the team members and the Social Worker.
• Ensure observation and evaluation of the implemented activities.
• Ensure respect to the working hours and working days.
• Submit weekly reports for the admin assistant and reporting about the activities performed and continue highlighting challenges and best practices.
• Contribute to the writing of the narrative report on a monthly basis.
• Attend internal and external trainings when required for enhancing knowledge and skills.
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills
• University degree in social work, psychology or any other related field.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of working in the humanitarian sector, preferably in the Social Work field.
• Good knowledge in the Child Protection core principles.
• Demonstrating professional facilitation skills and experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and staff members.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (oral and written).
• Experience in data gathering and analyses (Microsoft Office).
• Sharing of key humanitarian values with cross-cultural sensitivity.
