Position Overview
The Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development is seeking a dynamic and skilled Program Coordinator as part of its Public Health & Wellbeing Program. The Public Health Coordinator oversees the operations of the Public Health & Wellbeing Program, conducts research, supports policy creation, and enhances evidence-based decision-making through extensive data collection. This role also involves organizing events, training programs, and health awareness campaigns to promote collaboration and improve healthcare services and sector preparedness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee general programmatic operations of the Public Health & Wellbeing Program.
- Conduct scientific and applied research in the field of public health or health in all policies with relevant institutes and organizations
- Support the creation of content regarding public policies, developmental status quo and opportunities for improving the healthcare sector.
- Enhance evidence-based policy-making through extensive data collection methods among medical and healthcare institutions.
- Organize events to promote dialogue between health institutions and authorities.
- Organize training programs and assessments to assess and enhance health preparedness and response.
- Launch a research program at the network level (within the Health Observatory mechanisms).
- Conduct specialized medical and health training courses for medical staff and volunteers.
- Design and deliver health awareness programs among healthcare sectors and through online/offline campaigns to diverse target groups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or related field (minimum); Master’s degree preferred.
- Preferred certifications in public health or project management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public health program management, research, or policy development.
- Proficiency in public health research, data collection, and analysis for policy-making.
- Knowledge of systems thinking, action planning, medical waste management, EHR systems, drug addiction, PWSN, M/SMEs in public health, and disaster drills.
- Experience in managing public health programs, organizing events, and conducting training programs.
- Skills in designing and delivering health awareness campaigns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership abilities for managing teams and projects.
- Proficiency in statistical software, data visualization tools, and health information systems.
