Duties & Responsibilities:

General:

Education Program/ Project:

  • Ensure beneficiary selection, retention, and commitment throughout the entire program.
  • Emphasize skill enhancement and development of previous beneficiaries to enhance employability readiness
  • Conduct 1:1 interview and orientation sessions with beneficiaries to enhance understanding of program objectives.
  • Verify beneficiary data entered on registration forms through frequent contact such as spot checks, phone calls, and household visits.
  • Ensure all aspects of course implementation are in accordance with program set criteria, and in compliance with agreements in order to deliver best quality education.
  • Ensure all enrolled beneficiaries are treated with respect and are safe and protected within courses.  Directly report any incidents of violation or threat immediately.
  • Ensure student attendance is maintained through following up on absenteeism from beginning to prevent drop out.
  • Ensure tutors and trainers are providing courses in accordance with agreed curricula, hours and schedules.
  • Ensure all students receive timely transportation, stationary, and any other benefits in accordance with agreements.
  • Conduct motivational activities to enhance retention. This includes awareness sessions involving parents and caregivers and youth related to the importance of education and any other relevant topic
  • Conduct at least two meetings with beneficiaries’ parents per course; one at the beginning and one at the end of the course.
  • Monitor the implementation of pre- and post-tests.  Report results to management and on the system.
  • Embrace challenges with course implementation.  In case of uncertainty, escalate challenges to the supervisor with suggested solutions.
  • Ensure visibility of Anera and donor throughout all course implementation
  • Verify all payment requests received and offer support to partners in order to prepare requests as needed.
  • Routinely check on the level of satisfaction of students with courses.  Report and address complaints/feedback.
  • Ensure that all  CBT students (100%) are provided with apprenticeships in order to offer maximum benefit to all students.
  • Identify SME’s and potential apprenticeship hosting parties.  Ensure all SME’s have signed agreements and are implementing the signed due diligence.
  • Ensure all apprentices are practicing skills acquired in CBT courses through cross checking with beneficiaries and apprenticeship providers.
  • Ensure apprentices receive their transportation fees timely.  Report delays of obstacles.  Provide follow-up information.
  • Actively support enhancing employability of all beneficiaries.  Guide local partners to offer monthly “inspirational mentorship events” through successful graduates and business owners.
  • Promote job opportunities through ideas/initiatives to create links between graduates of different courses and social media outlets whereby graduates can stay connected and share their experiences.
  • Track graduates of CBT courses.  Provide information regarding any unemployment.
  • Take on responsibility for other Office related tasks and events in the area as assigned by the Area manager.
  • Provide coordination and follow up on outreach and events activities.

 

Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Refer and adhere to the M&E plan to conduct monitoring and evaluation on all assigned activities using the relevant tools and means of verification.
  • On a regular basis collect data, enter/compile, and update information for the field (registration forms, attendance records of youth/teachers, photos of activities, etc.).
  • Validate data necessary to maintain contact with beneficiaries, utilize Apricot for grades, attendance, and all related forms to allow for tracking of each beneficiary’s progress.
  • Monitor adherence to grant agreement, Anera policies and procedures including PSEA principles, and relevant external rules and regulations.
  • Conduct classroom observations to verify attendance and determine quality of instruction..
  • Ensure partners are maintaining safe, clean, and organized environments to accommodate youth with disabilities in their facilities.
  • Support and Capacity Building with Partners:
  • Build relationships with project partners and local stakeholders to introduce the project and facilitate access to information related to project activities and scope.  Arrange for meetings.
  • Liaise with private businesses at the local market, project partners, key community leaders, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and other relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the CBT program.
  • Serve as a liaison between communities and Anera office; maintain good relationships with beneficiaries and local leaders/authorities; and represent Anera while in the field.
  • Provide program partners with day-to-day support and coordination.  Troubleshoot any administrative problems and report any challenges to the Area Manager.
  • Offer capacity building to the local partners through on-going on-site support during the program implementation.

 

Reporting:

  • Ensure quality reporting for internal use on status of on-going programs..
  • Assist in development of tracking and monitoring tools to ensure the program implementation achieves goals.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to be submitted to the Area Manager.  Contribute to quarterly reports and other ad hoc reports as required.
  • Report immediately and problems arising during implementation including monitoring child/youth abuse, maltreatment, hazardous situation, and safety measures.
  • Ensure proper and timely reporting from all partners on drop-out students and absenteeism.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Technical or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social sciences, education, statistics, or related fields is required
  • Three to five years of experience related to program support is required
  • Proficient computer skills to include Google Platform 
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills and, soft  skills
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Language Requirement:  Fluency in Arabic and English is required (both written and spoken)
