SIF is seeking a dynamic, creative, and highly motivated Social Worker, to be based in the Beirut – Lebanon office, with field visits to the Tripoli office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide social support to vulnerable children and their families
- Conduct community outreach and home visits
- Organize cards distribution when needed
- Conduct phone verifications of beneficiaries
- Work directly with the Surge Project Manager and Field team to develop intervention plans and ensure follow up in the Child Safe Spaces and children’s houses.
- Identify new vulnerable children, women or families within the community to be assessed and included in the SIF program
- Collect information about visited vulnerable families through interviews, observation, and assessment carried out via outreach home visits
- Collect data and referrals from the field level.
- Complete intake assessments, evaluations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary
- Raise awareness on the services available in Mount Lebanon and North.
- Attend weekly or biweekly meetings in Beirut/North with the Surge Project Manager and the team.
- Participate actively to program coordination and to relevant meetings on the topic.
- Planning to start the first payment of the sponsorships.
- Refer cases to the needed service after the discussion with the Surge Project Manager and/or CPTO for the high-risk cases.
- Data Entry.
- Develop and implement and monitor age-appropriate psychosocial support activities clubs, recreational activities and awareness sessions for – Children, youth, and caregivers in the SIF Safe Centers.
- Coordinate with the daily workers on the psychosocial support activities.
- Any other related tasks defined by the line manager.

ESSENTIALS:
- Education: Completion of secondary school education. An additional first University degree in Social Work would be a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 year of experience in Child Protection, Child-focused programming and/or work with vulnerable children
- Languages: Intermediate level in both oral and written communication in English.
