انتشرت تحذيرات تنبّه من خطر وصول مرض جدري القرود Mpox إلى لبنان، واحتمال تحوّله إلى جائحة أشبه بوباء كورونا. فهل هناك فعلاً ما يدعو للقلق؟
انتشر المرض بشكل كبير في الدول الأفريقية، وبنسب فاقت السنوات الماضية، حتى أصبح يشكّل حال طوارئ صحية عامة في الإتحاد الافريقي، وقد أعلنته منظمة الصحة العالمية فعلاً طارئة صحية عالمية نظراً للخطر الذي يشكّله.
وتؤكد مصادر صحيّة، عبر موقع mtv، أنّ مرض جدري القرود قديم في القارة الأفريقيّة وليس جديداً، مطمئنةً إلى أنّه ليس خطيراً وليس هناك من داعٍ للقلق.
وتشير المصادر إلى ان “لبنان يتبع تعليمات منظمة الصحة العالمية، والتوجيهات التي تصدر عنها”.
ولكن ماذا عن إجراءات وزارة الصحة؟
تجيب المصادر: “سجّل لبنان بعض الإصابات بهذا المرض وكان آخرها في شهر آذار الماضي، لدى أشخاص قادمين من أفريقيا، وتمّ التعامل معهم حينها من قِبل وزارة الصحة، عبر دائرة الترصّد الوبائي”.
وتضيف مطمئنة “لا يُعتَبَر جدري القرود جائحة تستدعي استنفاراً، إنما المطلوب فقط بعض الاحتياطات الإحترازية تجاه الحالات التي يمكن تسجيلها وشروط التعامل معها”.
وهل اللقاحات الضرورية متوفّرة؟ توضح المصادر أن لا لقاحات، لكن معظم الحالات التي سُجلت منذ ٢٠٢٢ كانت مرتبطة بأشياء محدّدة وتم عزلها حتى شُفيت.
توضح المصادر الصحيّة أنّ هذا المرض، وموطنه الأساس الكونغو، هو فيروس وليس مرض حساسية، وتطوّر ووصل الى الإنسان بعدما كان يصيب القرود فقط.
لا تعني الطمأنة أبداً إهمال المرض وعدم الاحتياط له، وعدم فرض إجراءات صحية احترازية في المطار. فهو قد يسبب الوفاة بنسبة 3 في المئة، وعوارضه مزعجة لا سيما الطفح الجلدي على شكل بثور أو دمامل vesicles، ويصيب الأعضاء الجنسية. ويسبّب الحمى وأوجاعاً عضلية وانتفاخ الغدد اللمفاوية.
ولذلك تبقى الوقاية الصحيّة دائماً خيراً من قنطار علاج.
