تقاطعت الرواية الأميركية لتفجير الـ”بيجر” مع خلاصات أولية من التحقيقات التي يبدو أن “حزب الله” قد توصّل إليها، لجهة أن الانفجارات التي حصلت في أجهزة الـ”بيجر” ناتجة عن تفخيخها بمواد متفجّرة.
ومع أن الرواية الأميركية المنقولة عن مسؤولين أميركيين تؤكّد أنه تم العبث بالأجهزة قبل وصولها إلى لبنان، فإن التحقيقات التي توصّل إليها “حزب الله” تكشف جوانب عديدة من “العملية القذرة” التي أطلق عليها الإحتلال “تحت الحزام”.
الرواية الأميركية
كشف مسؤولون أميركيون أن “إسرائيل” زرعت كميات صغيرة من المتفجرات في أجهزة الـ”بيجر”، التي طلبها “حزب الله” من الشركة التايوانية “غولد أبولو”، قبل وصولها إليه.
ونقلت صحيفة “نيويورك تايمز” الأميركية عن هؤلاء المسؤولين أن “إسرائيل” نفذت عمليتها ضد “حزب الله” بعد إخفاء المواد المتفجرة داخل دفعة جديدة من الأجهزة التي طلب الحزب استيرادها إلى لبنان.
وأضاف مسؤول أميركي للصحيفة الأميركية: “تم العبث بالأجهزة قبل وصولها إلى لبنان، ومعظمها من طراز AR924 من الشركة، على الرغم من تضمين 3 طرازات أخرى من طراز غولد أبولو في الشحنة”.
وقال اثنان من المسؤولين الأميركيين إن المواد المتفجرة، التي لا يتجاوز وزنها 1 إلى 2 أونصة، تم زرعها بجوار البطارية في كل جهاز نداء. كما تم تضمين مفتاح يمكن تشغيله عن بعد لتفجير المتفجرات.

وقالت كيرين إيلازاري، محللة الأمن السيبراني الصهيونية والباحثة في جامعة “تل أبيب”، إن الهجمات استهدفت “حزب الله” حيث كان عناصره الأكثر عرضة للخطر.
وقالت إيلازاري: “لقد ضربهم هذا الهجوم في كعب أخيل لأنهم أخرجوا وسيلة مركزية للاتصال”.
وأضافت: “لقد رأينا هذه الأنواع من الأجهزة، أجهزة النداء، مستهدفة من قبل، ولكن ليس في هجوم متطور بهذا القدر”.
ولم يتضح متى تم طلب أجهزة النداء ومتى وصلت إلى لبنان.

هذا في الرواية الأميركية، أما في التحقيقات اللبنانية، فإن مصدراً أمنياً كشف جانباً من التحقيقات الأولية التي حصلت والتي توصّلت إلى أن أجهزة الـ”بيجر” التي انفجرت كانت مفخخة من المصدر عبر قطعة “آي سي” في جهاز الـ”بيجر” واحتوت المواد المتفجرة.
واشارت المصادر الأمنية إلى أن التفجيرات تم تنفيذها عبر الرسالة بتكنولوجيا متطورة أيقظت المادة المخفية المتفجرة.
وأوضح المصدر الأمني أن هذه المواد المفخخة والمتفجرة لا تكشف عند أي فحص عبر الأجهزة المتعارف عليها، مشيرة إلى أن بطارية الـ”بيجر” لم تكن في ذاتها من أوجد الموجة الانفجارية، بل كانت مادة “الليثيوم” التي تغذي الـ”بيجر” عند استقبال الرسالة المتسببة في التفجير.
وأكدت قناة “الميادين” نقلاً عن مصادر أمنية متابعة أن أجهزة الـ”بيجر” المطفأة وتلك التي في المناطق الخالية من الإرسال، كلها لم تنفجر، تماماً كما أجهزة الـ”بيجر” من الأنواع القديمة.
وأوضحت أن المادة التفجيرية استُخدمت بهدف القتل، ولا سيما تلك الأجهزة المعلقة في الخصر، كي تدخل موجة التفجير إلى الجسم مباشرة.
وخلصت المصادر إلى أن جهازي “الموساد” و”أمان” الإسرائيليان هما وراء هذه الضربة العدوانية.

The New York Times quoted these officials saying that Israel carried out its operation against Hezbollah by concealing the explosives inside a new batch of devices that the group had imported.
One U.S. official told the newspaper, “The devices were tampered with before reaching Lebanon, most of them from the AR924 model by Gold Apollo, though three other models were included in the shipment.”
Two U.S. officials explained that the explosives, weighing between 1 and 2 ounces, were placed next to the battery in each pager. A switch was also included, allowing the explosives to be detonated remotely.
At 3:30 p.m. in Lebanon, the pagers received a message that appeared to be from Hezbollah's leadership, according to two officials. Instead, the message activated the explosives. The devices were programmed to emit a beep for several seconds before detonating, according to three officials.

Israeli cybersecurity analyst Keren Elazari from Tel Aviv University noted that the attack hit Hezbollah where it was most vulnerable. “This attack struck at their Achilles' heel by taking out a central means of communication,” Elazari said. “We’ve seen pagers targeted before, but not with this level of sophistication.”

According to a Lebanese security source, Hezbollah’s initial investigation revealed that the pagers were rigged at the source with explosives embedded in an “IC” component inside the pager.
The security source explained that the explosions were triggered by a signal sent via a highly advanced technology that activated the hidden explosives.
The source further stated that these explosives could not be detected through conventional scanning devices, noting that the lithium in the pager’s battery played a role in triggering the detonation when the device received the explosive message.
Al-Mayadeen TV, citing security sources, reported that only pagers that were turned on or located in areas with signal coverage exploded. Older models and pagers in areas without coverage did not detonate.
The sources concluded that Israel’s intelligence agencies, Mossad and Aman, were responsible for the attack, which was intended to be lethal, especially targeting pagers worn on the waist, where the explosion could directly affect the body.
