وشدد في حديث لـ إذاعة “سبوتنيك” على “ضرورة التفكير في سيناريو حصار محتمل”، مؤكدا “أهمية استدامة سلاسل الإنتاج”. وطمأن المواطنين بأن “لدينا مخزونا من الإنتاج اللبناني أو المستورد يكفي لمدة شهرين، وعلينا التفكير في ما بعد الشهرين”.
وأعلن الحاج حسن “إطلاق حملة الدعم الدولية برعاية رئيس الحكومة نجيب ميقاتي، وفي حضور الممثل الشخصي للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، مؤكدا أن “هذا يعكس أننا وضعنا القطار على سكته”.
وفي ما يتعلق بسعر صرف العملة الوطنية، أوضح أن “هذا الموضوع محسوم، حيث يديره حاكم مصرف لبنان بالإنابة وسيم منصوري، وهو رجل قانوني قادر على تثبيت سعر العملة”. وأكد “التواصل المستمر مع وزارة الاقتصاد لمنع احتكار التجار”.
ولفت الوزير الحاج حسن إلى أن “اللجنة التي تم تشكيلها قدرت أن 300 ألف مواطن قد هجروا، لكن خلال ساعات تم تهجير 800 ألف مواطن”، مبينا أنّ “هناك مراكز إيواء في الشمال، إلا أن بعض العائلات ترفض الانتقال، والعمل الجاد لضمان عدم وجود أي عائلة في الشارع، مع خشية من انتشار الأوبئة”.
ودعا إلى “ضرورة البحث عن حلول مع القوى الكبرى مثل روسيا والصين”، مشيرا إلى أن “إسرائيل تضرب بعرض الحائط كل القوانين وتريد قتل المدنيين”.

Caretaker Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Hajj Hassan, stated that the recent meeting with food authorities was aimed at assessing the current status of food supplies in the country. He noted that while the situation remains positive, a major challenge has emerged due to the displacement of approximately 10,000 farmers as a result of the ongoing conflict, which could negatively impact both productivity and exports.
In an interview with “Sputnik Radio,” Hajj Hassan stressed the importance of preparing for a potential blockade scenario, emphasizing the need for sustaining production chains. He reassured citizens that Lebanon’s stockpile of locally produced and imported goods is sufficient to last two months, but emphasized the necessity of planning beyond that period.
He also announced the launch of an international support campaign, under the auspices of Prime Minister Najib Mikati and with the presence of the personal representative of the UN Secretary-General. Hajj Hassan affirmed that this initiative signifies that “the train is now on its track.”
Regarding the exchange rate of the national currency, the Minister clarified that the issue is under control, being managed by Acting Governor of the Central Bank, Wassim Mansouri, who has the legal expertise to stabilize the currency. Hajj Hassan also highlighted the continuous coordination with the Ministry of Economy to prevent monopolistic practices by merchants.
The Minister further revealed that the committee formed to assess the situation had initially estimated that around 300,000 citizens had been displaced, but the number quickly surged to 800,000 within a matter of hours. While shelters have been set up in northern Lebanon, some families are reluctant to relocate. He reassured that there is ongoing work to ensure no family is left on the streets, amid growing concerns over the potential spread of diseases.
Finally, Hajj Hassan called for seeking solutions in collaboration with major global powers like Russia and China, pointing out that Israel is blatantly disregarding international laws with its intention to target civilians.
