Job Summary: Medair is seeking a dedicated Health Assistant to support community health initiatives in Zahle. The Health Assistant will work under the supervision of the Health Officer, overseeing daily field activities, providing training, supervision, and support to Community Health Volunteers (CHVs), and ensuring the successful execution of health outreach programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Field Activities:

   • Lead, organize, recruit, and supervise CHVs.
   • Provide training, coaching, and supervision for CHVs.
   • Assist in creating necessary IEC (Information, Education, Communication) materials in consultation with health staff and CHVs.
   • Build relationships between Medair, communities, outreach staff, and supported activities.
   • Ensure accurate data entry and timely management of data for health activities.
   • Contribute to data reporting and ensure services are delivered at agreed locations.
   • Recommend improvements to community outreach programs to the Health Officer.
   • Assist with planning and implementation of assessments and surveys.
   • Under Health Officer supervision, prepare payment requests for equipment, supplies, and other provisions.

2. Staff Management:

   • Manage, coach, and supervise CHVs in the field.
   • Ensure work schedules for CHVs align with agreed work plans.
   • Monitor CHVs’ performance and provide feedback to the Health Officer.

3. Quality Management:

   • Contribute to the overall health strategy in the field.
   • Coordinate with Health Officers to implement health activities, ensuring goals are met.
   • Uphold Medair’s core values when interacting with staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
   • Provide input to enhance beneficiary participation and improve project processes.
   • Ensure compliance with both internal and external process requirements.

4. Communication & Coordination:

   • Participate in project meetings, internal Medair training, and other required meetings.
   • Provide regular updates to the Medical Project Manager (MPM).
   • Represent Medair during donor visits.
   • Coordinate closely with the community outreach team to ensure smooth implementation of activities.
   • Liaise with health and logistics staff to ensure proper procurement and transportation of items.

Delegated Responsibilities:

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Health Manager or Medical Project Manager.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
• Native Arabic speaker with strong English skills (both oral and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and XLS format.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, community engagement abilities, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, resist stress, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Dedication to fostering trust, accountability, and a healthy work atmosphere.

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:

1. الأنشطة الميدانية:

   • توفير التدريب والتوجيه والإشراف على المتطوعين.
   • المساعدة في تطوير مواد IEC بالتشاور مع الموظفين الصحيين والمتطوعين.
   • بناء علاقات مع المجتمعات والفرق الخارجية وضمان نجاح الأنشطة.
   • ضمان الدقة في إدخال البيانات وإدارة التقارير الصحية في الوقت المناسب.
   • المساهمة في إعداد التقارير وضمان تقديم الخدمات في المواقع المتفق عليها.
   • تقديم التوصيات لتحسين برامج التوعية المجتمعية إلى الضابط الصحي.
   • المساعدة في التخطيط وتنفيذ الاستطلاعات والتقييمات.
   • تحت إشراف الضابط الصحي، إعداد طلبات الدفع للمعدات والإمدادات.

2. إدارة الموظفين:

   • إدارة وتوجيه والإشراف على المتطوعين الميدانيين.
   • التأكد من توافق جداول العمل مع الخطة المتفق عليها.
   • مراقبة أداء المتطوعين وتقديم الملاحظات إلى الضابط الصحي.

3. إدارة الجودة:

   • المساهمة في وضع الاستراتيجية الصحية.
   • التنسيق مع الضباط الصحيين لضمان تنفيذ الأنشطة الصحية وتحقيق الأهداف.
   • الحفاظ على قيم Medair الأساسية عند التعامل مع المستفيدين والفريق.
   • تقديم مقترحات لتحسين مشاركة المستفيدين في المشاريع.
   • ضمان الامتثال للمتطلبات الداخلية والخارجية.

4. التواصل والتنسيق:

   • المشاركة في الاجتماعات المتعلقة بالمشروع والتدريبات الداخلية لمؤسسة Medair.
   • تقديم التحديثات الدورية إلى مدير المشروع الطبي.
   • تمثيل Medair خلال زيارات الجهات المانحة.
   • التنسيق الوثيق مع فريق التوعية المجتمعي لضمان سير الأنشطة بسلاسة.
   • التنسيق مع فرق الصحة واللوجستيات لضمان الحصول على المواد اللازمة.

المسؤوليات المفوضة:

• أداء أي مهام أخرى كما هو مفوض من مدير الصحة أو مدير المشروع الطبي.

المؤهلات:

• 1-2 سنوات من الخبرة بعد التأهيل.
• شهادة بكالوريوس في مجال صحي.
• متحدث عربي أصلي مع مهارات جيدة جدًا في اللغة الإنجليزية (كتابة وتحدثًا).
• إتقان برامج Microsoft Excel وWord وOutlook وصيغ XLS.
• مهارات العمل ضمن فريق وقدرة على حل المشكلات والتواصل الفعال.
• القدرة على إدارة الوقت وتحمل الضغط والمحافظة على موقف إيجابي.
• الالتزام ببناء الثقة والمساءلة وأجواء العمل الصحية.
