### **Emergency Coordinator**

**COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale** is an Italian humanitarian organization founded in 1965. Operating in 33 countries, COOPI focuses on both emergency and development projects in sectors such as WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), shelter, cash assistance, and education. Main funders include the EU, USAID, UN agencies, and AICS.

**COOPI in Lebanon**
COOPI has been active in Lebanon since 2003, focusing primarily on supporting refugees and host communities in Northern Lebanon. Currently, the organization implements projects to alleviate the impact of the economic crisis and the effects of COVID-19. Key activities include livelihoods support, WASH services, psycho-social support (PSS), and Cash for Work programs in Beirut.
Due to the growing humanitarian crisis in Lebanon, COOPI is expanding its emergency interventions across several sectors, including livelihoods, WASH, and PSS, with a specific focus on a Cash for Work project for waste collection and neighborhood cleanliness in Beirut.

#### **Role Overview:**
The **Emergency Coordinator** is responsible for managing COOPI’s emergency response activities and the Cash for Work project. This includes analyzing the humanitarian situation, coordinating efforts across sectors, engaging with donors and partners, and overseeing proposal writing and project implementation.

#### **Key Responsibilities:**

– Lead the writing of project proposals, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and COOPI’s mission.
– Plan, monitor, and evaluate project activities to ensure goals are met on time and within budget.
– Oversee administrative and financial management of emergency response programs.
– Prepare and submit timely and detailed reports on project progress and outcomes.
– Supervise and manage project staff to ensure efficient and effective project implementation.
– Manage goods, supplies, and resources allocated for emergency programs.
– Maintain strong institutional relations with key stakeholders, including Clusters, donors, state authorities, and local representatives.

#### **Qualifications:**

– Minimum of **four years** of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a focus on emergency coordination.
– Proven **analytical, supervisory, and communication skills**.
– Experience working in **insecure or unstable environments**.
– Fluency in **English** is required, while **Arabic** proficiency is a plus.
– Experience working with international agencies such as **UNHCR, ECHO,** or **OCHA** is highly desirable.

#### **المؤهلات:**

– خبرة لا تقل عن **أربع سنوات** في القطاع الإنساني، مع تركيز على تنسيق الطوارئ.
– مهارات **تحليلية وإشرافية وتواصلية** مثبتة.
– خبرة في العمل في **بيئات غير آمنة** أو غير مستقرة.
– إتقان **اللغة الإنجليزية** مطلوب، ومعرفة **اللغة العربية** ميزة إضافية.
– الخبرة مع وكالات دولية مثل **UNHCR** أو **ECHO** أو **OCHA** تعد ميزة كبيرة.
