رغم التحديات… الوضع النقدي ممتاز!

اجتمع مجلس إدارة جمعية مصارف لبنان مع حاكم مصرف لبنان بالإنابة، الدكتور وسيم منصوري، بحضور نواب الحاكم، لمناقشة الوضع في القطاع المصرفي وسط الظروف الصعبة التي تمر بها البلاد.

وكشفت مصادر مصرفية لموقع “ليبانون ديبايت” أن الحاكم حث المصارف على تسديد مبلغ استثنائي، يعادل ثلاث دفعات شهرية، في بداية شهر تشرين الأول المقبل، للمستفيدين من التعميمين الأساسيين 158 و166.

وأشارت المصادر إلى أن الحاكم ذكر المصارف بأن المصرف المركزي هو الذي يقوم بسداد الدفعتين الأساسيتين للمودعين، وبالتالي يجب على جميع المصارف الالتزام بذلك.

واعتبرت المصادر أن ضخ الأموال من قبل المصرف المركزي في السوق ساهم في تحسين الوضع النقدي، ومنع المضاربين من استغلال الوضع الأمني للتلاعب بالليرة اللبنانية.

كما شدد اللقاء على أهمية متابعة تقديم الخدمات المصرفية للمواطنين في المناطق المعرضة لمخاطر أمنية بأفضل الطرق الممكنة.

ووصفت المصادر الوضع النقدي بالممتاز، وأكدت أنه إذا استمر الوضع على هذا المنوال، فإنه قد يصمد لمدة تصل إلى عام كامل.

The Board of Directors of the Association of Lebanese Banks met with Acting Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Wassim Mansouri, in the presence of the Deputy Governors to discuss the banking sector's status amid the difficult conditions the country is facing.

Banking sources revealed to “Lebanon Debate” that the governor urged banks to make an exceptional one-time payment equal to three monthly installments at the beginning of October for all beneficiaries of the basic circulars 158 and 166.

The sources pointed out that the governor reminded banks that the central bank is responsible for paying the two basic installments to depositors, and therefore all banks must comply.

The sources considered that the central bank's infusion of funds into the market has improved the monetary situation and prevented speculators from exploiting the security situation to manipulate the Lebanese pound.

The meeting emphasized the necessity of continuing to provide banking services to citizens in security-vulnerable areas in the best possible ways.

The sources described the monetary situation as excellent, asserting that if it continues as it is, it could withstand for about a year.
