مطار بيروت يستعيد حيويّته: 75% من شركات الطيران عائدة بعد توقف الحرب

مرّ أكثر من شهرين منذ أن توقفت شركات الطيران عن تسيير رحلاتها بالكامل إلى مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي في بيروت، حيث كانت شركة طيران الشرق الأوسط (MEA) هي الوحيدة التي استمرت بتسيير بعض الرحلات للمسافرين الضروريين، رغم توالي الغارات التي استهدفت مناطق الأوزاعي وبرج البراجنة القريبتين من المطار.

مع توقيع اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار الأسبوع الماضي، بدأت حركة الملاحة الجوية في التحسن تدريجيًا، وهو ما تزامن مع بداية موسم الذروة، الذي يشهد عادة إقبالًا كبيرًا من المغتربين والسياح، وهو ما يُعتبر high season للقطاع السياحي في لبنان.

عودة تدريجية لحركة الملاحة الجوية

وفي حديثه لـ مطار بيروت الدولي، أكد رئيس المطار فادي الحسن أن شركات الطيران العراقية والأردنية ستبدأ بتسيير رحلاتها بشكل تدريجي اعتبارًا من يوم الأحد. وأضاف أن منتصف ديسمبر (كانون الأول) سيشهد عودة معظم الشركات الأجنبية للعمل بشكل منتظم، مع الإشارة إلى أن عدد الرحلات قد لا يعود إلى مستوياته السابقة بسبب التزام بعض الشركات بمطارات أخرى كانت قد لجأت إليها في فترة الحرب.

العودة الجزئية لشركات الطيران الأجنبية

أما بالنسبة لبعض الشركات الكبرى مثل شركة لوفتهانزا غروب، فقد أشار الحسن إلى أنه من المتوقع أن يتأخر عودتها إلى الأجواء اللبنانية لبضعة أشهر.

فيما يتعلق بشركة الميدل إيست (MEA)، التي لم تتوقف عن الإقلاع والهبوط خلال فترة الحرب، فقد شهدت انخفاضًا كبيرًا في عدد الرحلات، كما اضطرت لركن بعض طائراتها في مطارات خارجية مثل إسطنبول والقاهرة. وقد كشف مستشار رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة محمد عزيز أن الميدل إيست بدأت استعادة طائراتها المركونة، ومن المتوقع أن تصل إلى نفس مستوى الرحلات اليومية التي كانت تسيرها في الأيام العادية بحلول 12 يناير المقبل.

أسعار التذاكر وتحسن الوضع السياحي

بالنسبة لأسعار التذاكر، قال عزيز إن الأسعار تتأثر بعوامل العرض والطلب، بالإضافة إلى التكاليف التي تتحملها الشركة بسبب ركن بعض الطائرات في الخارج. ومن المتوقع أن تشهد الأسعار انخفاضًا في منتصف يناير 2025، بينما ستظل مرتفعة في ديسمبر بسبب الموسم السياحي المرتفع.

موسم سياحي منتعش في الأفق

إن توقيت انتهاء الحرب وبدء اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار قد ساهم في تحفيز الموسم السياحي، والذي كان في مهب الريح نتيجة الصراع المستمر. ومن المتوقع أن يشهد مطار بيروت حركة نشطة من الطائرات على مدار الأيام القادمة، ما يساهم في إنعاش القطاع السياحي بشكل كبير.

However, the number of flights may not immediately return to pre-crisis levels, as some airlines had to relocate operations to other airports during the conflict.

Notably, some major international airlines, such as Lufthansa Group, will likely take a few more months before resuming flights to Lebanon.

As for Middle East Airlines (MEA), which continued its operations during the war, the airline faced a significant reduction in flights and had to park some of its planes in Istanbul and Cairo. Mohammad Aziz, the advisor to the airline’s CEO, stated that MEA has started bringing back these planes, and by January 12, the airline will be operating the same number of daily flights as it did during peacetime.

Ticket Prices and Tourism Recovery

Regarding ticket prices, Aziz explained that prices are influenced by factors like demand and operational costs, including the expenses of parking planes abroad. He noted that while ticket prices are expected to remain high during December due to the busy season, they should start to decline in mid-January 2025.

The timing of the ceasefire and the end of the war has helped revive the tourism season, which was at risk due to ongoing conflict. The Beirut Airport is expected to witness increased air traffic over the coming days, which will contribute to a significant boost in Lebanon's tourism sector.
