يقترب الرابع عشر من شباط، وهو اليوم الذي يُزَيّن فيه لبنان بالألوان الحمراء، من ورود وقلوب وصور عاطفية، ويستعد الجميع للاحتفال بعيد الحب أو “فالنتاين”، بالرغم من التحديات الكثيرة التي تواجه البلاد. هذا اليوم الذي يحتفل فيه العشاق في مختلف أنحاء العالم، يكتسب طابعًا خاصًا في لبنان حيث لا يتأثر بالظروف الاجتماعية والسياسية، ولكنه يظل في ذات الوقت مرتبطًا بالأزمات المتعددة التي مر بها لبنان في الأعوام الأخيرة.
تاريخ عيد الحب في لبنان والعالم
عيد الحب هو مناسبة يرتبط اسمها بقديس روماني يدعى “فالنتين”، وهو قديس عاش في القرن الثالث الميلادي. تتعدد الروايات حول قصته، ولكن الحكاية الأشهر تشير إلى أنه كان كاهنًا مسيحيًا يزوج العشاق في السر، إذ كان الزواج غير مُعترف به في الإمبراطورية الرومانية. ونتيجة لذلك، تم الحكم عليه بالإعدام ليُصبح بذلك شهيدًا لحب العشاق. هذا اليوم، الذي بدأ الاحتفال به في منتصف القرن التاسع عشر، تحول من تقليد ديني إلى مناسبة عصرية للاحتفال بالحب من خلال تقديم الهدايا مثل الورود والدببة الحمراء.
