“لبنان ليس مُفلسًا”… عون: النهوض من خلال الإصلاحات
أعلن رئيس الجمهورية اللبنانية، جوزيف عون، خلال جلسة مجلس الوزراء أنه لا يوجد ما يسمى “لبنان المفلس”، بل هناك “إدارة مفلسة” على حد قوله. وأضاف أن لبنان قادر على النهوض مرة أخرى بفضل الإصلاحات التي ستعمل الحكومة على تنفيذها بكل جدية وبذل الجهود اللازمة لتحقيقها.
وأكد عون أن الحكومة ستعمل على حماية كافة القطاعات والمرافق في لبنان، مشددًا على ضرورة أن يكون الانتماء والولاء للبلاد وحدها، وعدم ولاء أي شخص لجهة أو مؤسسة أخرى. وقال إن الوزراء موجودون من أجل خدمة الشعب اللبناني وتعزيز مصالحه في الداخل والخارج.
كما أشار الرئيس اللبناني إلى أن الحكومة ستعمل على إصلاح وتطوير وزارات الدولة في إطار الدعم الدولي الكبير الذي تلقت البلاد مؤخرًا، مؤكدًا أن لبنان يمتلك الفرص اللازمة للاستفادة من هذا الدعم، بشرط أن يتم تنفيذ الإصلاحات المقررة بشكل فعال ومؤثر.
وفيما يتعلق بالمجموعة من الأهداف التي وضعتها الحكومة، أشار الرئيس عون إلى أن تشكيل الحكومة لم يكن الهدف الوحيد، بل إن الهدف الأساسي يكمن في استعادة الثقة بالسلطة اللبنانية من خلال مكافحة الفساد وتعزيز الشفافية. وأكد أن الحكومة ستعمل أيضًا على إجراء التعيينات الإدارية، القضائية والأمنية في جميع القطاعات لتحسين الأداء الحكومي.
وفيما يتعلق بالقضايا الملحة التي تواجه الحكومة، أكد الرئيس عون ضرورة العمل على معالجة الملفات الهامة مثل الموازنة العامة، الانتخابات البلدية والاختيارية، بالإضافة إلى كيفية تطبيق القرار الدولي رقم 1701، الذي ينص على الانسحاب الإسرائيلي من الأراضي اللبنانية بحلول 18 شباط المقبل. ورغم التحديات السياسية والاقتصادية التي تواجه البلاد، شدد عون على أهمية الامتناع عن توجيه الانتقادات إلى الدول الصديقة والشقيقة، وعدم السماح للبنان بأن يكون منصة لأي انتقادات قد تمس مصالح هذه الدول.
“Lebanon is Not Bankrupt”… President Aoun: Reviving the Country Through Reforms
During a Cabinet session, President Joseph Aoun stated that Lebanon is not bankrupt, but rather suffers from a bankrupt administration. He emphasized that the country can revive itself through the reforms that the government is committed to implementing with full determination and effort.
President Aoun affirmed that the state is responsible for protecting all sectors and facilities within Lebanon, stressing that loyalty and allegiance must be only to the state and not to any other party or entity. He clarified that the ministers have been appointed to serve the people and work for the country's benefit both locally and internationally.
Furthermore, the President noted that the government will focus on reforming and improving ministries, especially with the substantial international support Lebanon has received. He assured that Lebanon has a unique opportunity to benefit from this support, provided the necessary reforms are carried out effectively and efficiently.
As for the government's objectives, President Aoun made it clear that the goal is not just to form a government, but to restore public trust through tackling corruption and improving transparency. He mentioned that the government will also work on making administrative, judicial, and security appointments to enhance government performance.
Regarding urgent national issues, President Aoun stressed the need to address critical matters such as the national budget, municipal elections, and the implementation of UN Resolution 1701, which calls for the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory by February 18. Despite the political and economic challenges facing Lebanon, President Aoun emphasized the importance of refraining from directing criticism towards friendly and brotherly countries, and ensuring that Lebanon is not used as a platform for such criticisms.
