Judge Bilal Halaoui, the First Investigating Judge in Beirut, held a session regarding the ongoing investigation into the former Governor of Lebanon's Central Bank, Riad Salameh. Salameh is accused of embezzling public funds through consultancy accounts at the central bank. The investigation session involved the re-interrogation of Salameh, in the presence of his lawyer Mark Habib, and the judge decided to keep him in custody while awaiting further legal proceedings.
In the same session, the investigation was concluded with lawyers Michel Touaini and Marwan Issa Khoury, with their respective attorneys, Kamal Haidar and Youssef Lahoud, present.
